View Full Version : I need some help, please
Okay. So the long and the short of it is I am dying. A couple weeks before I joined this forum I was diagnose with t3 m1 stomach cancer. I will not get treatment. It wouldn't help, anyways.
So, I am getting sicker and sicker and am less able to do stuff. My house is getting worse and my wife can't keep up.
I have lots and lots of "man" stuff that I need to get organized and get rid of, as my wife will have no need for such.
Our insurance doesn't even cover half of what all the costs involved are, so I will hold towards the end of this month a garage sale for the members here at this forum to get first shot at everything. Then I guess I will have a regular garage sale to get rid of the rest to pay for the expenses involved.
So if someone would be kind enough to help me with this (get my stuff in order, listed, etc.-out of my wifes' hair), I would appreciate it. I will give whomever helps a "new" amd kit w/matching numbers, hand picked, w/receiver flat, no barrel. Shouldn't take but a day or two. I'm kinda doing things a little slower now a days, lol.
Please no sympathy or charity.
If you have a need for some tools, vehicles, ak buliding stuff, etc., feel free to pm me as you feel before the sale.
Or feel free to email me at tristan@thoam.com.
Thanks.

Hi sent you an email
Email inbound.. I can help out this weekend.
Wow. I am simply stunned by the amount of emails I have received.
I really don't know how to handle it.
I really only need one person, say Saturday and Sunday March 28 and 29.
I don't have a clue who to choose, as so many have offered. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I really don't want to put anybody out and would prefer someone close to Greeley, what with gas prices and our economy and all. It's kinda funny how one really starts considering ones' karma and all towards the end, lol.
It would be just general listing of what I have to get rid of, cleaning the garage and yard and taking pictures (I don't have a camera, but I have a computer [obviously]) so that others can see if they want something. I am a former mechanic, so have lots of shop tools and stuff. Will keep most of the basic hand tools, as wife is kinda handy, like wrenches and screwdrivers and such. Not much gun stuff left. Also former musician, so some sound stuff left. Wife wants to keep the Marshall stack and one of my guitars and a couple of minor things. Anyways, the rest is just general stuff you accumulate when you own a house. I'm sure my wife will just buy a condo, so everything from hoses to yard wagon and such, too.
Thanks,
Tristan

I have a heck of a lot of stuff going on, but nothing more important than helping out a "fellow American" (I have always wanted to say that!)
We should definately show up as a group!!
Please pick a date on a weekend & PM me!!
I don't need to keep your stuff, I need to build up my karma so that when this happens to me, my wife will be spared the terrible situation you guys are going through. Really, let us come help. We can celebrate this time and have a positive memory instead of a sad one. I can bring a que & a camera. Let me know what you wanna do. Irish is gtg!!!

Sounds like the help is more than plentiful, so I would just like to add that I may be interested in purchasing some of the Vehicle Repair tools, and other stuff when you get a list together.
Count me in if this happens this weekend!

This is the type of help that I can provide. I too would be greatly honored to add you (Tristan), you family, and all of the other wonderful folks from this site to my prayers.
Tristan, I know you don't think that you need all of the help being offered, but please accept it. I'm sure that those who can attend will even consider any dietery restrictions you have when they purchase the food for the cookout. Knowing this crowd, they will do all of the work to set up, provide you will the work you need done (under your supervision, of course), and clean everythig up everything so as not to be a burden to you or your family. I don't know if you've ever served in the Armed Forces, but this whole effort is part of what we call "taking care of your own". This isn't pity or charity, it's just the right thing to do.
May God bless you and your family.
looks like you have enough help... you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
i still have not joined a shoot yet, but it would be nice to have a shoot with your presence.
interested in an air compressor if you have one.

I'm on board.
"TOUS POUR UN, UN POUR TOUS"
Man, I don't know what to say. I had just about lost hope in humanity. Seriously. With all that's going on in the world.
Anyways, that all sounds like a great idea for the sale. I have a big house, but a small corner lot, lol. And it would be great to do something like that for the sale. Maybe an auction-type thing with a FEAST? I like feasts, lol. I don't know. Just an idea. All the money goes to my wife (just like when I was dying, lol) to help her out. Neither of us are greedy, but every bit will help. Trust me, get your stuff together, no matter how old you are NOW while you still can. Come the end, it is hard to.
I would like Glen A. to come and help, but I can't find your email. My brother was the computer genius, not me-he died six months ago, too. But I get kinda confused now. Please email me so I can send you my phone number.
Sorry.
Ya, there just really isn't any need to have that much help, but I sincerely appreciate it! My wife would probably need it, after I'm gone to move and all. We have a lot of stuff. But you'd have to talk with her about that. But so many people would just confuse me too much.
It's all really weird, this. Planning your own death and getting rid of your stuff and paying the bills and sorting the legal crap out before you go. Twilight zone for me. And the pain medicine, oxycodone, doesn't help much.
God Bless all of you. Seriously. I'm an old-school Christian, who believe s that God helps those who help themselves. And as Jesus would say, you have committed in your hearts, which is what is most important. You will be rewarded.
Thanks a lot to everybody. Gratitude doesn't put food on the table, but you all have mine.
Good people, good times in the future for you all. You deserve it.
p.s.-don't space like I did, Glen! Thanks!

Thanks, buddy. I think I'm good, but who knows what tomorrow holds!
