Sold my Saiga 12 (like a dumbass ... this was several years ago).

Looks like I need a new one.

While El Paso County is considered too elevated and cold to be tarantula territory, the shaggy arachnids have been spotted in the southern parts of the county, which could indicate their habitat is pushing north, says Paula Cushing, curator of invertebrate zoology at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. .22lr or 9mm shot shells should do the trick, but still a good reason for new shotgun.

the EOTech 512 is pretty bad, I'll admit. But calling it an abomination is a bit much, I think!

You don't read books but it is a work up of The Abomination from the book Monster Hunter International.

Larry Correia has a really cool Monster Hunter International challenge coin kickstarter going right now.

More proof of global warming? Around Pueblo Reservoir you can see millions of them. Just get a cheap .410 shotgun for the Zombie Spiders!

They've been all over Southeastern Colorado (Arkansas valley) for as far back as I can remember. Pretty harmless, we used to catch'em and take them to school for show and tell.....

We used to find them, along with scorpions in our house (it was a trailer, I'll be honest) when I lived in Boone. I spent my middle school summers trying to find them and harass them. It wasn't hard.

Having been bitten by a brown recluse and having a nice (?) silver dollar size scar from it, I no longer have any use for any spider. Using a 12ga shotgun is the minimum response. We fumigate our house twice a year with 2-4 bug bombs per room and do indoor and outdoor perimeter treatments.

Alaska is looking better all the time.

Call me old school- but I still have a love and ultimate trust of a good, sturdy pump-action. My Mossberg 590 has not let me down yet! Oh and it works great not just for spiders, but those pesky snakes too.

Agreed. My Mossberg 500A is 'Old Reliable'. Not to be confused with the C. Sharps 1875.

I still have a cheap single shot 20 gauge I used to help train my wife's kids that might become my new spider slayer.

So no one would use an AR built from one of these? I'm disappointed:

This. We see them in the yard every September/October. Had one clinging to the bottom of the porch swing a couple weeks ago, and we've actually had a couple get in the house. My wife hates them. I just shoo them off or let them be. They eat tons of crickets.

Scorpions, on the other hand, I kill with prejudice. I stepped on one in the bedroom a few years ago. It was like putting your bare foot in a campfire.

Leave the spider be.

I just got back from MGT and I caught a spider there and put it outside.

Completely agree, got stung by one of those bastards as a child, and it certainly left a lasting impression!

Easy for you to say... I have my doubts that you suffer from arachnophobia... Which I do, by the way.

Can't we just tax the spiders out of Colorado?
