So I know their was a thread a while back but I can't find it. Say I wanted to do my own Cajun boil what's the best way? I am thinking the big propane pot, crabs, craw fish, potatoes, corn, shrimp and sausage type stuff. What's the best way to go for an affordable pot, and what's the best seasonings/recepies?

You can probably find a turkey frying rig at a good price about now.

Id' bet Sportsman WHSE or Cabelas would have a turkey fryer/crab boil set up. Make sure you get a strainer insert.

In no particular order;

bay leaves
lemon halves
crab boil
garlic heads
sliced onions
cayenne powder
kosher salt
pepper
old bay

Sounds like you have the fixin's covered. My only change would be andouille sausage over kielbasa.

My step dad just bought a new cabelas one in may, used it twice and now that my mom is gone he is gonna give it to me. So that's covered. 2 pots so I can do the sissy pot for the wife and daughter and the spicy one for me and my son. Gonna boil Saturday night!!!

Depends how much you're going to boil at one time. I have my brothers pot that will hold two sacks of crawfish. He used cayenne pepper, potatoes, mushrooms, corn on the cob, onions, garlic, and salt. Might be forgetting something, it was his show and I helped with the setup, cleanup and pigging out. My favorites were the mushrooms and garlic. Potatoes didn't always absorb much seasoning and the corn would burn my lips from the seasoning.

If you use the small potatoes and boil them long enough I know they will absorb throughout, I will have to experiment.

Most fryer kits have wimpy burners. http://www.homebrewing.com/equipment/propane-burner-220000-btu.php

Grab a 1/2 bbl keggle with a drain valve welded in and you will be set for the rest of your life. Homebrewers don't mess around when heat is needed, especially when you're boiling 12+ gallons of wort for 1 hour or more for a 10 gallon batch of beer.

Shrimp, crawfish, veggies and crabs shouldn't be boiled together Boiling/ soaking times are different for all.

If the neighbors aren't crying while you're boiling, your water isn't spicy enough.

http://www.kegglebrewing.com/Keggle-with-Ball-Valve-and-Thermometer_p_87.html They are converted half barrel kegs made into brew kettles. If all you're doing is a few seafood boils each year it probably isn't worth it. I have one from when I was brewing a batch of beer every couple of weeks.
