View Full Version : Wait times in larimer?
I've heard a few people lately say they got their permit in just a couple weeks. Is that the average right now or is it still usually just before 90 days?

I found that thread... There aren't really any recent posts for larimer. I know two people personally who have got their permit in the mail in 2-3 weeks, but it still sounds like the normal wait is 3 months (yes I know, that legally they can't go past 90 days). Just thought that maybe the wait times have gone down.

Not valid in CO with a CO DL...
Just posting the info. It's up to each and every individual to understand the laws that apply.
*I* already have a CO CHP.
I got UT to be able to carry in WA.

That helps the OP in Larimer County how???

Well, now OP knows he cannot carry in WA with a CO CHP and how to remedy that deficiency.
Your bitching helps how?
FWIW, I should have posted the info in the general 'wait times" thread as was my intention. If it makes you happy and helps get the sand out of your vag, I can move it there.
I have my UT certification as well as my CO. I appreciate the info. After I receive my CO permit I figured I might as well send in the UT also. I don't plan on going to any of the states that require it, but $51.00 isn't a reason not to get both. Ill just have to hurry up and wait for my CCW. At least it will come before my form 1 and 4 lol.

brutal for the WIN!!!
Why the hell have Atleast 20 people I have talked to, that have come into my work, that live in weld county, het there permits in less than 3 weeks?? Why would the wait times even depend on county? I know for a fact that EVERY county in completely done through CBI, so why is every other county taking 90 days??
Is this a "New" or a renew CO CHP you're waiting on?

Local resources and volume.
Different counties put different priority on processing permits. Less populated gun friendly counties like mine tend to be faster than over populated ambivalent or anti gun counties.
IMO many counties appear to intentionally stretch the permit process. Throw in a little political bias and wait times tend to vary greatly.
I got my permit in 9 days(Morgan county), my SIL took almost 5 months total in Denver county. Dad was the mentioned 3 weeks in Weld county.

I'm waiting on NEW. The people I have taked to we're also waiting on NEW. My co worker is the person who put them through the class, so I know the wait times they are saying are honest.

That makes sense, but we all know Smith is a gun friendly sheriff. I have been planning on 90 days, but the county by county times don't make much sense, so I figured I'd ask. Thanks for the info.

Larimer cty has finite resources for CCW approval, combined with the amount of applicants. Be patient, besides you're waiting on a tax stamp. Consider this a warm up.
Just got it today. It took 82 days from the day I got my prints and photo taken.
