After 3 weeks of waiting on a freaking sling mount to ship, I finally emailed RRA to cancel my order. But apparently they have some rules that they didn't tell me before i placed the order.

**NOTE: Once submitted, all orders are final, cancellations will result in a 20% cancellation fee. All order cancellations must be done through the website Contact Us Email (choose subject Order Cancellation); or by Email to: info@rockriverarms.com; or by Fax to: 309-792-5781 (tel:309-792-5781). Changes requested after order submission, including configuration, subs, etc., will result in a reprocessing charge. Shipping TBD: Shipping charges are To Be Determined, and will be applied at the time of shipment. If this is a credit card purchase, charges will appear on your credit card statement from Rock River Arms. All NFA rules apply. Not responsible for typographical errors. All prices, availability and specifications are subject to change without notice.

I read up some not so great past experience with RRA on AR15.com threads from a couple years ago. Not sure if they have improved now.
I hope I will get a good reply on Monday, meanwhile does anyone know about canceling order with RRA?

I waited over 6 months for an upper from them. When I ordered in April the screen that said items could be on indefinite backorder and cancelling resulted in a 20% restocking fee (even though they didn't have the item on hand to restock) was after you had already submitted your payment info. Their customer service was rude as well when I called trying to get an update. I will avoid RRA items in the future.

just fight the charge with your credit card company.

That's shitty.

I wonder how much it cost them to stock one of these even though it might not be in stock...

I hope restocking fee only apply to guns and complete uppers...

BCM, Palmetto, Aero Precison must be non standard in that case.

I waited for 9 months for a 9mm bolt from them that appeared to be in stock at the time of order. Finally after everything else was received and assembled (8 months later) I waited for about an additional month and called and canceled. There was no restocking fee. But after my experience I will never order from them again. There are no indications that anything is in or out of stock on their site. My bolt was part of a sale promotion in December of last year prior to the second panic but I know that my cheaper order was bumped way down the list when everything went crazy again. Customer service was generally rude and never at any point in nine months of waiting was I updated via email that my order was still even valid or in processing. I would email them about every two months asking for an update of any kind and I would get emails that said literally "No ETA" as the entire message. Never again. Never plan on owning any of their products either.

In stock on their site probably means they offer the product...

On a sling mount?

I can see that on a lower (restocking fee) but not a small part.

This is one reason I think twice about back ordering. PSA doesn't even allow you to back order--they either have it (except an upper) and ship it or they don't.
