Oct. 16, 2013 Jackson police arrested a teenager in the fatal shooting of bass angler Jimmy Johnson.Shaun Brown, 17, is charged with capital murder. Police say he has confessed to the crime.
WAPT reports that police executed a search warrant Wednesday morning at a home on Delmar Street. Officers were seen carrying a red hooded sweatshirt from the house that was similar to one worn by a suspect in a surveillance photo released earlier this week. Officers also searched a wooded area for the gun they believe was used in the crime.
Johnson was in Jackson to compete in the Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Central Open tournament on the Ross Barnett Reservoir, which is scheduled to begin Thursday.

Just saw the pics of the victim and perp.

What do you bet that had the perp been killed in self-defense, there would be riots right now? And more of "if I had a son..."

I agree. It's unfortunate that you took my comment to mean something it didn't. It was in reference to the double standard that some people have. I think it's tragic anytime an innocent life is lost. I don't adjust my behavior based on who the victim or criminal is.
