I've been doing my best to wait it out on a few purchases, I want to get a lightweight beater ar15 from psa and a chunk of ammo. What are you waiting on? Maybe even snag a vortex viper pst 1x4
I'm waiting on a Fulton M14 receiver. They usually go on sale around holidays. I have all the parts but no receiver.
Here's a good beater Ar15.

Hard to beat that price. You can have a complete AR for under $550

Ive been eyeballing that, I can get aero lowers pretty cheap so I think I might come in under $550. Trying to wait it out and see what else pops up. PSA has been dropping prices steadily and I'm betting I'll get exactly what I'm after come thanksgiving at the price I want to pay.
I'm waiting for the next whackjob to walk into a daycare and start this all over again. Market is almost back to normal and there is a new session of congress coming up.

Last year I bought a $3200 refrigerator for $1800 on Black Friday. The year before I bought about $500 in power tools for $280. Doing your research can help snag some pretty good deals if you're willing to put up with the BS.

I will thankfully be out of country and away from the madness.

No.
I've voluntarily put a moratorium on my spending until next year, so unfortunately it looks like I'll be missing deals this year.
Luckily I have to work so there will be no temptation to go out shopping, made that mistake once...
I am 100% sure that I am not going to Dick's Sporting Good for Black Friday.
Where is my Troy Defense Carbine from last year!??!?!?!?!? [beatdeadhorse]
No. I have never been shopping on black friday and never will be.
I hate crowds, and would rather pay full price than get up early to stand in line for hours before dealing with a thousand rude idiots just to save 30% on an item I need to fight for because they only have 5 in stock.

That's what wives are for. They thrive on that insanity.....Goes with their personality.
My wife has saved a ton of $$$ doing the black friday. I've never been and never will go. I get a panic attack at Macy's with all the colors, perfumes, etc, etc. Sensory overload!!!!
Sometimes the week before Black Friday is just as good. I have found some great deals on last years models they were dumping to make room for the upcoming sales. Less crowds too.

Piss on it.... If I need or want something, I get in, get out, and move on.
One of the last things I would want to do, is look forward to "shopping" with 50 million other folks on the same day. IMO.

I guess, partially. In th past I've found what I was looking for typically on black Friday online. I'm usually traveling so pretty much that whole week I'm checking in online. Never actually participated in the whole black Friday door buster thingy. I guess I should have been clearer in the OP since everyone is talking about how they would never go anywhere on that day rather than what they are getting this year.

My thoughts exactly
black Friday and grand openings are both on my "avoid" list. Just can't stomach big crowds and standing in lines.
Black Friday is the best! -what other day produces as many stampedes at Walmart's across the nation for the rest of us watch later at our leisure on YouTube?!

I have saved $$$$ using Black Friday. Yes, it's a PITA but worth it in the end. I once went to four DIck's SG locations to get the buy one get one half off on Remington bulk packs. Saved roughly $250 on that day
If you truly NEED something, then you can save some money, other than that you are really not saving money, you are spending less money than you normally would.
I went a couple years to get gifts for family but any more the fun of the rush and pushing old women and children out if the way to score half off has diminished. Now people wait 10-24 hours at Walmart for them to hand things out in an orderly fashion. No thanks.
I've gone out a couple times. First time was for a specific item where it was get in, get out. It was worth it. The other time, the wife and I went in the morning just to browse what was left. No panic mode and found a toaster for $5, griddle for $10, etc. When you don't HAVE to get anything, it's not as bad.

I don't about this year. I've scored some good electronics in the past, but I'm just not that excited this year. Typically, I avoid Walmart and such places like the plague. AAFES Exchange, Home Depot, Sportsmans Warehouse are all possibilities though. Got a great deal on Leathermen multitools at HD last year. Picked one for each vehicle's "oh shit" bag.

After 9 years of good use my DeWalt 18v drill is blowing smoke and flames. I'll be looking for a new DeWalt cordless for Black Friday.
You mean Cyber Monday.
Not necessarily. I got a great deal on 2 PSA uppers (everything minus charging handle & BCG) online last Thanksgiving.

The batteries for my 14V DeWalt are all crap. Looking at the new 20V MAX DeWalt stuff.

Want to score a Primary arms Micro red dot for the old lady's AR, but Midway USA had a bushnell red dot that kinda looked the same, but for less.

There's always some EDC toy or firearms accessory that I want to buy. My goal this year is to avoid using Black Friday as an excuse to get something I don't need.
