I was driving home tonight around 9pm and saw someone sticking an excess amount of "Yes on 66" signs in the median dividing the highway. By excessive Im talking about one every 5 feet. I went on the Denver city website and found this:
Political and other noncommercial signs may be displayed on private property in accordance with the following zoning regulations. Remember, no signs may be placed in the public right-of-way! This includes median strips, highway entrance and exit ramps, traffic signs and posts, and utility poles.
Im pretty sure that applies to these signs. Im thinking of going out in a bit and removing all of them because I feel like my HOA (Stapleton) will do nothing because they are compliant liberals.
I dont have a problem with one or two I have a massive problem with 50.
Thoughts?

Considering I know the area and the staff around there, just do it. No one will care. Free target stands.

Free target stands.
Never done that, nope.
Pull the signs, but shut up about it, as it is not your place to enforce laws or statutes.
After you're done, donate the materials to the local school to be used in art class.

No, don't yank them. File a complaint with the police and the Secretary of State. Take pictures. That gives them the ability to go back and fine the organization that sponsored them.

The organization that is making sure to be completely broke and disbanded as of today? It's like tracking down a telemarketer scam, wont happen.
Yanking them gets something done, filing a change request ticket does not.

The unions, bloomberg's , gates, dems have to do something with their money.
IMAGINE if all the money spent on the VOTE YES ON A66 was channeled directly in to the education system [Bang]

Spending 10mil of their money to get 1000mil per year of our money is worth the gamble, sorry investment.

There was a Yes on 66 sign at the elementary school near me for a few days - someone got to it before I could call the election board and complain.

Of course I haven't seen a SINGLE "No on 66" sign ANYWHERE.
I tried to get one for myself, but the only way I could get one is to drive to Denver (sorry ... ain't got time fo that).
The blend of apathy and lack of organization of conservatives in this state is why we're in this mess. I should have been able to drive over to the El Paso GOP office on Sutton and pick up signs, but when I called them they didn't have any nor did they have any idea how or where to get them.
Colorado GOP incompetent?
You don't say!
I saw a no on 66 sign. One.

I saw a no on 66 sign. One.
Hope you took a picture ... More pics of bigfoot and space aliens out there than that.
Should have pulled them all up and dumped them in front of the office for whatever group is organizing 66.
I have seen several NO on 66 signs and a few banners, here in northern Arvada.
Saw another No on 66 sign tonight just after voting.

TV has been much worse for this.
Anyone seen a single anti-ad?

There is no money to be made by anyone blocking the amendment.

Looking at the voting map by county every county in the state is leaning against it except for Denver county. Imagine that.
Can we just wipe Denver off the map? That sure would solve a lot of our problems
Free target stands! Horray! I need some
If Denver wants more money for schools, they should raise their property taxes. They have the largest pool of people to pull from.
However, they'd rather just hijack the rest of the state to give them a free ride.
KDVR is calling it defeated.

I like to use them for stapling targets to at the range, anyone have any extra "excessive" signs laying around. I'll take em.
Just saw a pro 66 commercial on Youtube. Made me extra happy it didn't pass.

Three points of good news along with the defeat:
1) Bloomberg injected another $1M into the Colorado economy to no effect
2) At this point, Dems -- at least Colorado Dems -- have to start looking at Bloomberg's money as some sort of curse
3) The Denver powers can't possibly see this as anything but a statewide repudiation of their extremist agenda

While your talking points are good ones. Everyone needs to realize the greater ramifications of a D / Liberal onslaught. VA went down hard tonight. In that race like CO the D/L's dropped 69-70 MILLION to win. Come 2014 expect to see massive infusion of D/L money to wretch final control away from the remaining R's in office. be it the state house of Sheriff's dept. The storm is closer than you think.

True, but the Libertarian candidate had a significant impact on the outcome.

I found this little gem on MY property this afternoon. I rarely come or go from this direction so I never spotted it.
I've always been polite to these pricks when they come and knock on my door, but it is war for now on.

Not as much as expected. With Librarians who knows which way they would vote (if at all) when presented with th e2 party system. Macgoofy was a 10-15pt favorite in a 3 way race. He barely scraped by. No matter how many millions, how many flag burners that supported him, be it the administration, or clintons. The Narrow victory was noticed across the country and across both sides of the aisle.

This is late, but it is also illegal (but not enforced) to place political signs or any type of advtisement within CDOT right of way or on any CDOT structure including sing poles and traffic signals.
Next time you see something like that report it to the CHP or CDOT facility nearest to you, they will be removed ASAP.
