I wouldn't be suprised if you get a letter stating how that Boston Tea Party reference will be erased from future history books because its hurtful to mention indians doing anything in history. Even worse that its false it was a bunch of colonials trying to frame the indians.

A tea party does sound like a good idea. I am tired of paying high taxes for staples like tobacco and gas. Even worse my income gets taxed for coming to me. I want to throw something/someone in a fricking lake.

I never understood the whole taxation thing.

You get taxed for the privledge of EARNING money. You get taxed for spending money. You get taxed for saving money (okay, to be fair this only occurs if you earn interest). You get taxed for owning stuff you bought (that was taxed at purchase time) with money you were taxed for earning. If you fail to pay the property taxes for stuff you supposedly already own, they take it and sell it at a tax auction and put you in jail for not paying your taxes (where you live off of the taxes paid by others).

There are different sales tax rates based on the products you are buying. Of course, they call these things like luxury or excise taxes.

Then our elected officials refuse to actually represent us when enjoying the perks that our tax money gives them.

I'm confused how this ever flew. I know that in all actuallity, I own nothing. Once I stop paying what the govt. thinks I owe them - they'll take it all. Doesn't that make me a renter?

I like the way you view things TheGinsue. Tell'n it like it is. I thought we fought a nation over taxing. Now we tax ourselves into poverty. Once we are all in the poor house the GOV will take care of us, granted we pay them with our vote to keep them in office. I'm concerned

They don't always threaten... sometimes they just tell you to "mind your own goddamned business." [LOL]

Last week Jason Mattera approached Charlie Rangel at the Capitol: http://www.peoplespresscollective.org/2009/03/charlie-rangel-meet-jason-mattera/

Be fair Libertyordeath. He did look as drunk as Sen. Kennedy at 8am.

Why don't you pay your bills that's my business. [AR15]
