Yeah. A gun flew in the window, knocked over mom's lamp, shot that bad guy, then flew away. Damndest thing I ever saw."
EDIT: No way in hell I'd let them seize my weapons. I'd leave the premises first.

"No wonder Moms want to ban them, they are so evil. One day it might show up and make me a criminal."

"Hey, I know you legally prevented a felony from happening, likely saving yourself from serious bodily harm in the process. But we have a zero-tolerance policy on protecting your property and life. You gentlemen are no longer a part of the Gonzaga program."

Brandished a gun because a guy showed his ankle bracelet on the other side of the door? Sounds kind of stupid to me.
Eh, it depends on what "became agitated" means in regards to the roommate not giving money. If the guy's out there cursing and getting aggressive, I'm not necessarily opposed.
I will concede that I would've waited until he made it absolutely clear he was going to commit a felony; IE: he entered the apartment without consent after being asked to leave.

That'd be great if a high-profile donor (or upon-death-donor) hears about this and threatens their future donations if Gonzaga doesn't pull their heads out of their asses.
They students are being placed on probation, and are appealing that decision.

Gonzaga should let this die and leave them be.

Every stranger at my door is more likely to have a gun brandished than not. Just depends on their attitude, and how observant they are.
A well established University that believes in the right to own, and the use of fire arms, should jump all over this and provide full scholarships to these young men...... [blaster] or was that before our time?

Some good news. The two were not expelled and the university has even agreed to review its firearms policy.
