I know it's bad and it's hard on all these people to lose out on policies they were happy with and now have to pay more.... but I do chuckle a bit at every news story about it happening to a voting democrat. I think they were sold the idea that it would be only the upper 1% that was going to foot the bill to add a bunch of bad health people with no money. Instead, the (ever shrinking) middle class is getting hit the hardest for the costs.

It seems that more people are getting screwed out of their existing insurance than those uninsured that the libs were trying to help. Unintended consequences. That's a first for politics in America.

[Sarcasm2]

Don't buy this crap about the new policies being better than those that are being cancelled. They're just a one-size fits all policy, which doesn't work best for a lot of people. If you're over 50, do you really need pre-natal care?

trlcavscout
11-09-2013, 14:34
Well that's good to know that 3.5 million people have lost their policy but this one lady is the exception. Typical liberal bull shit. Of course this dumb shit believed Obama from the start so I don't feel bad for her.

I heard the public schools were already handing those out. I already pay for them with my property taxes.

I'm in the same position with my health care coverage as the couple in the video. Only difference... I saw it coming and knew Obama was full of shit.

Even though our plan for the wife and I was pretty comprehensive it will take a 20% jump jan 1st. They tell me we are going to get 1% pay raise after having it frozen since 2009.

The company's have been gearing up for this since then. I looked at my share (1/3) since 2009.

2009= $240 per month
2010= $280
2011= $320
2012= $360
2013= $420
2014= $500

Over a 100% jump in 5 years. [Bang] The whole insurance racket has gotten stupid. Pretty soon one will have to make at least $100K per year just to afford it. Homeowners went up 60% this year. [hammer][off-yourself]

It needs to be hard on them and us both. If there's any hope that a non-violent solution can be had, folks need to realize the negative consequences of what they have done and learn from them. Kind of like our debt--we never stop spending because we haven't to directly pay for the spending (yet).

My heart goes out to the Conservatives that didn't vote for this mess and will suffer/die because of it. But then again, on some level, we have to take responsibility for that because we didn't "get in their faces" in 2008. We let the Liberal family member talk his shit on Thanksgiving without punching him in the gut and telling him he's no longer our blood. Yes--this is that serious.

And even if it weren't for our lack of objection, we still all go to work to fund this machine, paying our taxes and submitting to their laws.

We all deserve a piece of this pain until we are willing to stand together give up just a fraction of what so many others have given.

Well, she was only thinking of herself when she supported Obama and Obamacare so I don't have a problem telling her, "Too fucking bad". Stupid is sometimes painful and, in this case, expensive. Welcome to the real world. Unfortunately her stupidity will affect others who don't deserve it. I wish it was costing her a lot more.

Idiot. She's an RN with 35 yrs of experience and thought Obamacare was good?

These are typically the folks all for it. To them, health care is a right. They believe it in their soul. What is completely divorced from that belief is that someone must actually provide that right, and sure enough, you are a nurse (or primary care physician). Whoops!

Edit: And this is more a comment on their coming workload more than their decreased [effective] paychecks or reimbursement structure. That's the second burn.

If you're talking about medical workers, you couldn't be farther from the truth. They all know ACA was doomed.

My wife's a Nurse and she would probably kick you in the nuts if you said that shit about her.

Yeah, my wife's a nurse, too. Her experience is just the opposite. She says almost everyone bitches about Obamacare and the problems it's causing where she works, though there are a few die-hard Obama supporters.

I am and I assure you the ranks are full of true believers. They all know it was doomed?
Who do you think lobbied so much for it? Professional organizations and insurers. Has it been so long already?

I am mildly encouraged there are a few out there that dislike it, with the ranks slowly swelling. For the past few years, it has been taboo to talk as such. $0.02

I was told this last year too, while in for some test, right after the nov elections. The majority of SKILLED medical professionals will be retiring earlier than later.

The majority of SKILLED medical professionals will be retiring earlier than later.

The others are flocking to ACOs, HMOs, trying to get their practices purchased, or trying to hook up with massive government-supported practices (Universities and VAs) etc. It has never been so easy to recruit a physician to one of those. Much easier to be a paycheck taker than to have to eat what you kill in this environment. Neither scenario is ideal for the patient.
