What with Typhoon Hayan kicking the Philippians squarely in the balls, I wonder what will happen to the value of the various bargain priced Armscor 1911s that had been on the market lately.

I think the prices will rise some, then go in the drink.

I do know the market won't be flooded with them.
A typhoon hitting Tacloban will likely affect Armscor pricing about as much as a hurricane hitting Stuart, FL affected Colt pricing back in '04.
Not much. Most of the damage was on some of the smaller islands, primarily Leyte Island.

I got mine so i'm happy 36333
then i lost it in a boating accident
Not sure a $400 offshore 1911 will skyrocket in value. So many other choices are available near that price range.

They might rise a little. But I don't foresee a large jump. Maybe $25-50?

Yeah, I think their plant survived unscathed, but the entire infrastructure of the country is in a shambles and there's a good chance this storm may collapse their economy (and maybe their government) so I suspect that the boys in Pahrump won't be getting any shipments for a while.
So the price of Armscor guns may not jump, but the distribution network may collapse due to lack of product.

no pun intended?
