Does Specialty Sports (http://www.specialtysportsandsupply.com/) do private transfers?
If so they're at Fountain and Murray ... contact them here. (http://www.specialtysportsandsupply.com/?page_id=173)

The guy I use is in Northern Springs... Stetson Hills and Marksheffel. Not close to Ft Carson at all, but may still be useful. His name is Chad, runs his FFL out of his house. I'll pm you his contact info.

Just called them and they said no. I think this law is pretty ridiculous

I know of a few but they are all on the north end of town. Mostly mom and pop places run out of their homes. All the "store front" type places refuse to do private transfers or want a arm and leg to do them. ...and yes the law is ridiculous.

PM 'Circuits' here on the board.
Rich Voelker: http://www.thegunoutlet.com/ (not close to Fort Carson, but if you can't find anyone else...)
I'm not sure either one does private transfers, but a PM/e-mail/phone call should tell you what you need to to know.
BTW, could you post up who you have do the transfer, after all is said and done? (I may need to do a few myself in the near future.)
HTH,
Jim
Voelker does them: http://www.thegunoutlet.com/faq/person-to-person-transfers/

^Pretty sure that is a No.
The only people doing P/P transfers in the Springs are a few mom and pop places that do it out of there home. Kind of makes it hard to follow the law when no one is willing to do a transfer for you.

Which is exactly what the democrats who enacted the law intended. [Rant2][Mad]

Just to let everyone know, that most people in the Springs made this situation more of a hassle than it was really going to be worth and the deal was reworked.
A couple people PMed me some info. I did contact those recommendations and was very pleased with the quick response and how polite they were and their willing to work with me. However they were not close to the area I had to work in. If someone is looking for that info you can PM me.

Your right Jim B. Looks like the law worked like a charm this time....

I still can't figure out if they limited the fee to 10 bucks to make the law more "palatable" to gun owners (not that it worked) or to ensure that very few dealers would bother doing them. They're so f$%&ing stupid they probably didn't realize that most FFLs wouldn't bother with a transaction that is, quite literally, not worth the time.

Never underestimate. Ever. They know exactly the consequences of each of their actions, and they plan on it.

Not to hijack the thread, but I think you may be giving them way too much credit...LOL.
