I wonder if all the liberals in government tug on their collars when they see something like this.

That number of NICS checks doesn't account for multiple purchases, either. So the actual number of guns is probably a bit higher.

Awesome chart.

Nor does it account for people that live in free states where the proles are allowed to buy and sell among themselves without involving the bureaucracy. So that actual number is probably a hell of a lot higher.

And people who've registered on healthcare.gov probably doesn't account for families registered. [Coffee]

Fun chart but not really accurate when the website is broken.

Agreed. It'd be more akin to how many checks were processed in December 2012 compared to April 2013.

Not that once the website is fixed, it will read much different. I was just raining on the parade is all.

gun + ammo is cheaper than obamacare

I'm going to need a gun, to afford Obummercare.

So, what happens if you don't buy Obama care and you don't pay the tax? Do you go to jail for tax evasion?

Then you get free health care, lose win

Bloomberg told me 40% of guns are purchased without a background checks. That means at least 2,362,639 guns were actually sold.

I can only relate to charts when they are in pie form. I love pie.

In that case, I'll take the slice that represents NICS checks. Whomever gets the Obamacare crumbs can lick the empty pie tin.

Looks like we have to re-slice the pie.
26,000 signed up on federal Obamacare website in first month: administration (http://www.nbcnews.com/health/26-000-signed-through-federal-obamacare-website-first-month-administration-2D11591428)

Although I do realize you are a big obamacare fanboi…..you do realize that register on healthcare.gov doesn't make you a purchaser, right?
In fact, the number of purchasers so far (at least for our local Colorado site) was something like 10% of all who registered. ;)

So, the DHS report that healthcare.gov was the target of 16 cyber attacks is kinda weird. They said that none of them worked, and they said that one was a DOS attack. But no details, and why is this under the DHS authority? Interesting that none of the cyber security blogs have anything about it yet.

Deduct the MEDICAID people and you're under 5K Kentucky signed 300K up, those were Medicaid folks.

For now...

I read the other day that the number of people who had successfully purchased a healthcare plan under the ACA was in the single digits in many states.

It's unsustainable. It will come crashing down. Let's hope it doesn't totally destroy healthcare in this country in the process.
