Ok, i know it sucks...saying that up front, but my torment ends today! No more having to call the neighbors on my cell to tell them to put their dog inside, no more shit on my yard, no more piss all over my garden (male dog). I don't know how to contain my excitement. This dog has tormented me for 7 years, and it ends today. All the damn barking gadgets that i bought, my 2 different pellet guns and everything else can finally be put on the shelf. I know some of you know EXACTLY what the hell i'm talking about.
My manager is going to be happy that I don't have to get off the phone to yell at the dog...
beer thirty time?

I hear ya, the fights with my wife also are going to end over that damn shit dog. I love hunting and well disciplined dogs, and if my wife wasn't good friends with em, well HBAR, i would agree with you...

Congrats. Now you can afford to shoot more...
But I thought you owned a suppressor? And the dog lasted seven years? [evilgrin]

Sad, it's not the dogs fault.

i agree, but it's the shadow that he barks at, the ups truck, fedex and my diesel and every other diesel that drives the `hood. Lets see what else there is...Well, i don't mind him keeping the 1 squirrel away, but he could never move fast enough to get it.
Ah man, the deed has been done, and it's peace and quiet...FB is pooring out condolences and I'm saying that there is a God and he will answer prayers...

Sad, it's not the dogs fault.Agreed!
They should euthanize the owner...
Sad, it's not the dogs fault.
+1 The dog may be going, but your neighbors remain. What leads you to believe they will be more considerate and responsible with their next pet.
I long for the day when someone complains about loud guns. "My gun is too loud? Let me put my regulation, tax free suppressor on for you. Just trying to be a good neighbor."

WOW.... being in the middle of an epic battle with my neighbor over the same thing......congrats!
Hopefully after the 4 legged animal is gone, you don't start being harassed by the 2 legged one..... or maybe that's just my situation.
It's sad the that your neighbor was such a poor pet owner. Perhaps the owner should have been euthanized, and the pet trained by someone that actually cared.

Poor owner would be a complement to these liberal idiot neighbors...I forgot to mention that they did a rescue on a German Shep puppy. Dog is cute now, but once again, the owners are mofo liberal idiots. Their idea of taking care of a dog is...oh, it's annoying me, i'll but it outside...We don't to pay for puppy/dog school. Rather spend our money on some sort of bullsh*t...The dad, a "firefighter" wants to prolong the agony of the barker, until his wife and vet told him to pound sand. Don't understand that kalifornian transplant mindset. I told him i had access to a farm, and my uncle has a gun I could use to put him down with...He doesn't talk to me anymore...Won't be the first dog i shot, and it won't be the last, growing up on a farm teaches u that...

Good riddance.
I like dogs, but lousy owners, and no-good-reason barking dogs are more annoying than phones ringing constantly. At least you can unplug the phone. Have obnoxious dogs, dont expect your neighbors to like them or you for that matter.
Enjoy the peace, and enjoy the new puppy when it shows up. Hopefully its not a barker.
Dead puppies aren't much fun... :)

This.
My in laws have 2 purebred huskies and a huskie elkhound mix. They all live indoors and rarely bark except when they are playing. They listen to commands and are the nicest and smartest dogs I know of. Huskies are super smart and everyone says they are hard to train. Training takes time, effort, dedication, and consistency. IMO, If someone is not willing to put forth the time, effort, dedication, and consistency that is required to train a dog, they are not responsible enough to have a dog. This rule also applies to children.
Where is MCanter to tell you that you should have handed your neighbor a shovel and told him that veternarians are for pussies?
What breed, if any, was the dog?
i dont know if vets are for pussies, but they are for the rich. it would have been just as quick out here, just much cheaper.
That was a great thread. Anyone know how he is doing? Didn't he got to Ranger school?

I also had to eat dinner while the wife yipped with the female owner...omfg...blah blah blah how sad blah blah blah i feel so sorry for you blah blah blah....omfg, i ate 2 subway sandwiches, drank my sweet tea, and turned on the laptop, and she still wasn't done yapping...oh she's crying going into work...she's so distraught...i really don't fucking care about their liberal candy ass feelings about a POS dog, which by the way, is a direct representation of an owner...my dog is a complete meat head, she's also antisocial, chip off the ol block i guess....

I know how you feel. My neighbors recently put down a little ankle biter of a dog that barked at me nonstop. The relief is nice, still sad for the dog.
