external shootgun hammer

does anyone know where I can order these from? It is not for a shotgun it is for a project so the make is not important.

Interesting. I like oddball projects!
I'd try Numrich ( egun parts) , or Dixie Gun works.
When you're done , post a pic if it's not too far out of bounds.

Try Numrich Arms.They always had stuff like that.
If you know what shotgun the hammer you wasn't to use is from just search in that maker and you should find it.

Is that percussion? If so, try Dixie Gun Works, or one of the other kit build companies.
Or Numrich, Brownells, etc.

Your first step is going to be to obtain a "Try Hammer". It is adjustable in the tumbler axle area so you can ascertain the correct timing for the axle relative to the nipple/firing pin.
After that you will have to find a hammer blank for your configuration.
