Took me a while to get it where its at. Still have some work to do, such as new optics, offset sights (or MUIS PRO), better trigger and a surefire comp. Right now I put my IOR Valdala 4-16 (which is an awesome scope) from my bolt rifle on it to see how it performs.
As for the optics, I'm torn between a Vortex PST 1-4, Vortex 2.5-10x32, or an Eotech w/Mag. I'm liking the Geissele Tricon Trigger but I haven't read a whole lot of reviews on it. What are your thoughts?
Heres my build thus far. PS some of these pics where taken before the mag ban..

I suppose it depends on the role of the firearm and how frequently you'll use it in that presumed role... and how much you're willing to spend... the common factors it comes down to for all of us.

If it was me, I would go with the Vortex PST 1-4. Fun plinker and a good compromise for SHTF.

I'm not much for Eotechs + magnifier. Lots of cost for a bulkier rig that can be achieved by a variable optic.

The 2.5-10 is great and all, but I personally can't stand magnification on my primary optic unless the entire gun is setup around a mid to long range role.

If your goal is for a swiss-army AR, I would say the 1-4 is your guy.

Sweet build, btw.

I could not have said it better myself.... choose the intended role of the weapon and buiild upon that premise. On a 5.56 platform 4x is generally sufficient for most roles and functions well in close and out to a few hundred meters. If you're trying to build a precision AR, that's a different story.

and again, nicely done. That's a very sweet build.

Sounds like quite the build! Looking Awesome so far! my $0.02 is that you should look at the rock river 2-stage trigger, i have them in most of mine and have been very happy! I love IOR and I've used the 1x/4x Pitbull... Awesome optic! Again, just my opinion ;)

Also, i've used the SF 5.56 brake, it is loud as hell but feels amazing! Not a whole lot of recoil with a 5.56 to start but with the SF brake it was like shooting .22 lr (minus the howitzer concussion!)
