TacCon Set to Release “Bump Fire” Style, Drop-In Trigger for AR-15 That Gets Close to Legal Full Auto

The gentlemen in the video above aren’t shooting fully auto AR style rifles in the video above.

They are actually using a new trigger system from Tactical Fire Control, INC.

The trigger operates on a similar premise to many of the bump fire stocks we’ve seen released recently for the AR and AK platforms. While this system is a bit different from what we can tell, it looks like it uses a new trigger reset mechanism and inertia from the gun to achieve its rate of fire.

You’re technically still pulling the trigger for each shot, but due to the innovative reset system when the trigger is in its third mode, the results are very close to the real deal.

As you can tell from the video, the rate of fire of this system seems to be a bit lower than legit full auto. However, I personally see that as a benefit as it seems like the rate of fire this trigger system produces can actually be controlled quite well for accurate burst fire.

According the company’s website, in addition to the fun mode (that’s what we’re calling it), the other mode is a 4.5lb competition trigger. Talk about 2 in 1.

The company also says on their site that they ATF approval, including a letter to go along with the trigger (if you buy one of these we’d probably recommend keeping that letter with your rifle).

Unconfirmed sources put the price tag at approximately $500, which sounds just about right given the prices of other drop in trigger groups and bump fire stocks.

Word on the street is that pre-orders for the trigger will start Dec 1.

Yeah, seems kinda silly to me. Hope these guys make a mint off their invention though.

I'm convinced that if the NFA (or any other full auto ban) had never happened we'd all own M16s with FA or burst capability and most of us would NEVER use it and think it was a silly way to waste ammo. We only want what we're told we can't have.

LOL, I just got emails asking about this today. With a properly sized rubber ball, you can do the same thing for 10 cents.

This + a sig arm brace and a noveske 10" barrel would make the closest FA SBR without paperwork. Guess I have to start save my pennies

Tactical and 3 gun matches may be very different :)
Two round double tap built into many handguns?

Looks cool and would seem like a cheap/ stamp free alternative to full auto. Plus I hate the way those slide fires look and feel when only shooting one round.

It is rumored to be about $500.

I think my Geissele SD3G is faster.

Doesn't emulate the fun switch, though.

Hell, the Akins accelerator stock for 10/22s was $1000 a copy, and they couldn't keep em in stock.

Then the ATF changed their minds......and everybody had a $1000 butler creek stock for their 10/22.

Ok, I get it!! Everyone get your shots in on the new guy! No pun intended. I'll learn how to use the search function some day.

In all fairness not sure a search would have turned it up. I just remember seeing it the other day.

I didn't realize they even had phone up at Florissant? :-)

Repost or not. This is a neat toy for the folks that want it. I'd be surprised if the ATF didn't reverse the letter. Seems like an internal version of a Tac trigger. That was NOT 500 bucks. Good effort on their part.

^^^This. I have a friend who "gadgetized" the hell out of his AR and still wonders why he has marksmanship issues. It's about the man behind the gun, not what's in/on the gun.
