To quote a repost enforcer, consult your attorney AND call down the NFA branch. You trust moves with you, like a will. The finer legalities, attorney.

Note that trust rules change by state, make sure it is still a valid trust.
(actually yes consult your lawyer, for all I know a trust may always be governed by the rules of the state in which it was created)

My Trusts will continue to be governed by Colorado law unless you make it a point to modify the Trust. Most times, there's no need or reason to do this because there's nothing offensive about Colorado's Trust laws.

Keep in mind that the issue of who's law applies to the administration of the Trust is NOT the same as complying with the laws concerning "regular" firearms or NFA-regulated items. If you move to an NFA-unfriendly locale, having the item in a Trust doesn't save you! It'd still be a violation of the local law.

Assuming the move is to a state and locality where owning NFA items is permissible, then you'll need to notify the ATF of your change of address. There's an address on the Form 4 where you send address changes. The ATF doesn't require any specific form. Just send them a letter listing your Trust's name, previous address, new address, and the stamp numbers to which the address change applies.

Since your Form 4 is still pending, I would send the address change to the same address where you submitted the Form 4. Again, send them a simple letter stating that you've got an application pending for an Acme .55 cal suppressor, S/N 12345 and here's the Trust's new address.

Keep in mind that per the Form instructions, the ATF wants the address for where the NFA regulated items will be stored, not your Mailboxes Etc. address.

Hope this helps!

Unfortunately I'm too poor afford NFA items, but I want to thank you for all your advice to the forum, as many people pay good money for legal advice alone. If finances and current laws ever allow me to get into the NFA realm, you will be my go to.

^^This...but update NFA Branch in VA (on back of form 4) as ATF office doesn't handle suppressors.

I do not have direct experience with this, but perusing the NFA conferences, the consensus appears to be if you move during the approval process call your examiner. Some examiners will change your address on the forms, some will force you to start the entire process over.
