It's coming and it's coming fast. There are discussions all over Patriot Radio and other news sites. It is fuckin' ridiculous. Not only do we have to support assholes with our taxes, now we have to let them rob us too....

Only sad thing about this story is that "robber White" is recovering. Only to do it again.
Roger
No good deed goes unpunished...
Of course- the would-be robber was doing nothing wrong, he didn't present the threat of imminent use of deadly force to either the store employee or the good Samaritan... Criminals aren't criminals anymore, they're victims of circumstance, right? [facepalm][Shake]

Maybe. Or maybe being shot 5 times will make him rethink his life choices.

So the good samaritan should have minded their own business while the piece of shit thug was holding a gun to someone's head?!? That is definitely some sound reasoning right there. Way to set the bar high and be such a glowing example. Shocker that the mentality thrives...

I hate to say it but this is the world in which we live. This is also a perfect example of why we teach people in our CCW classes to be a good witness unless directly threatened or unless someone you really care about is involved and in imminent danger.
We don't like it, but it's reality and this is the kind of crap that happens when you get involved. There's nothing that can keep this good Samaritan from getting sued civilly by these douchebags. Even if he wins (which is likely) it could cost him a substantial amount of money (ask me how I know). Not to mention there are always an endless number of things that could go wrong when you pull your gun that could lead to you getting in legal trouble or hurt or killed. Either way this is an extreme life-altering event for the person who takes action...and not in a good way.
It usually isn't criminal issues a person has to worry about...civil liability is a different animal.
Flame away about how things SHOULD be...I know you want to.

Nah, I've gotten to the point where I rigorously pat myself on the back for how restrained I've become on public forums.
