I can get some Colorado radio stations up by Fairplay on portable radios. I can really get most stations with the car radio, and that would be preferable, I have one but can't figure out all the friggin' wires. Need to put it in a stand alone trailer. Have a Ccrane solar observer but I will be returning it. Junk. My car radio works just fine, I can get peter boyles, coast to coast etc. Its a 12 volt system, anyone have any idea? Need a pic of the radio? How can I test it with a 12v battery?

Go to Best Buy or Car toys with the make and model of radio and get a wiring harness connector for it, the wires on the connector are usually labeled.
Or try searching the iterwebs for the make and model, you would be surprised what a google search can come up with.......... Remember, google is your friend........

GTS as mentioned.
Grounds can be sketchy in a trailer/camper as most are wood framed. For best reception ground direct to battery and don't trust the skin for a ground on the antenna.

Ah, its pretty old, has a cassette player. Couldn't find a white and black to test.

Go to Checker and spend $40.00 on a new one.

Searching for the manual on google with the model number should get you the wiring diagram. Car radios are really easy to wire once you know what the pins are. 12v switched - 12v constant - ground and a + and - for each speaker is all you need.

Post up the make and model of the radio you have and I'm sure someone can help find the diagram.
