From the article... "Shannon Watts, the founder of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, a gun control advocacy group, attributes that trend to aggressive promotion from gun lobbyists looking to capitalize on tragedies like Newtown and other mass shootings."
I don't see it that way SHANNON.
I didn't camp out either, but I am contributing.

Me either. In fact, I attribute it to the opposite force - the constant push by the anti's to ban guns. People are trying to get what they want/feel they might need before they no longer can.

I totally agree. The anti-firearm politicians and groups have done more to boost gun sales than anything. I wonder how they would feel if they knew they were responsible for boosting the profits of the firearms and ammunition companies to an all time high level and for arming thousands of citizens (if not tens of thousands) who otherwise might not even considered purchasing a firearm?
I just heard on the radio that there have been 2500 background checks done today. GO GO GO!!!

Warms my heart!
I'm going to Cabelas in a bit to pick up some cleaning supplies--have a big shoot planned for tomorrow. Hopefully there are some folks at the counter excercising their rights.

Won't be a record of one being done for me today, but my wife authorized the purchase of a 3rd Mosin Nagant and an AR today. [Coffee] I had already ordered 2 Mosins earlier in the week.

Please let me know what forms you submitted and how long was the turn round for this "Authorization" from the wife..........no luck on this front!!! HA!
Hell, Big R had a 9MM High Point for $128 or so. Thought about it but could not make it to the store......pillows and more sheets had priority!

Or a gun to stash in a burial tube.

I refuse to believe anyone can be that ignorant.
So instead, I shall call her a slimy, forked-tongued bitch.
Maybe someday Colorado will have a Holiday like this: http://revenue.louisiana.gov/sections/general/hottopics/secondamendment.aspx
The 2013 Louisiana Second Amendment Weekend Sales Tax Holiday takes place Friday, September 6, through Sunday, September 8.
Act 453 of the 2009 Regular Session of the Louisiana Legislature (http://www.legis.la.gov/Legis/ViewDocument.aspx?d=668895&n=SB52)enacted the “Annual Louisiana Second Amendment Weekend Holiday Act” that provides an exemption from state and local sales and use taxes on individuals’ purchases of firearms, ammunition and hunting supplies on the first Friday through Sunday of each September.

I have been checking out their facebook page. Pretty fuuny. Has graphs showing the states with the most laws have the most deaths, but next to it they wrote the opposite. They are praising the nfl and nascar. They even praise hudak, saying she is for the women.
Or a gun to stash in a burial tube.
That was my first thought.
Umm the day after Thanksgiving has ALWAYS been the highest call volume/processing day to NICS - has been that way ever since the program started. Followed by Valentines day.
Nothing special about it this year or any other.

My post-Thanksgiving gun-buying tradition starts the day after Thanksgiving and continues for about 364 days.

I hate saying this, but if and when there's a SHTF scenario, a majority of those folks are going to be fertilizer...

The libtards... they're making my head spin... Did you see the one where a guy was celebrating that Hudak resigned, then a libtard came in and painted all gun owners with one brush in commenting about Hudak receiving threats? Wow, practice what you preach. I'm just going to lump all anti's in the same group as those that want all gun owners to be shot dead somehow. Ya know, since we're gonna play that game. [facepalm]
