Or better yet, how much weight has it gained? Is the weight stable?

Mine started at 15 oz. It currently weighs 18 1/2 oz and seems to still be getting heavier. TB claims the weight will increase and then reach equilibrium. What have you guys experienced?

Never weighed either my 30P or 338BA , they get cleaned with peroxide and vinegar every 1K or so rounds . Have had carbon chunks dislodge and work there way into the chamber and not be able to close the bolt . Bad mojo cleaning your chamber on the clock at the match . Its not worth it to me not to clean them and I'm not the only one this has happened to , I've watched it happen to Zak .

I dipped mine yesterday for a day or so. There was no measurable weight reduction. I put it in a friends ultrasonic last night for 20 minutes. It poured black out of it but again didn't change the weight a lick. It's full of dip again and will go for 24 hours. It looked much cleaner inside after the ultrasonic, but I'm surprised the weight didn't change.

Stick yours on a scale sometime, will you? I'm curious.

I'll clean mine for a week straight changing the solution every day . I can weigh mine and see but I don't have a baseline number , its an early first year 30P that has had the baffles upgraded to the P1 stack .

Aha. Maybe I just need to do it longer.

Ah... suppressor cleaning...

I weighed my 30p-1 at 22-23oz last month, talked with Zak and sent it up to TBAC for a cleaning. TBAC had it for nearly a week and tried cleaning via various methods. It weights around 20oz now, as I elected to get it back from them prior to them being done with it. The point is, if there is a bunch of crap in there, it will take lots of cleaning (much more than overnight in the dip). Zak did say that mine was on the heavy side to start, and it was abnormally difficult to clean. Not sure why.

what's this 'dip' y'all speak of and will it harm titanium??

50/50 white vinegar and hydrogen peroxide . It reacts with lead and forms lead acetate, more of an issue with rimfire cans but there is lead in priming compounds too . Toxic nasty stuff after the reaction and should be treated as such . It eats up carbon as well and is safe with ti and steel but don't use it with aluminum .

Thanks, I'll give it a whirl with my Ti .30 can.

Eat a can of Pringles chips...........add mix of 50/50........place 30P in overnight . Threads down. Repeat if necessary..... I haven't had that much weight gain, but that probably means I need to shoot more. I promise to correct that in 2014......its my New Years Resolution
