Just wondering what other hobbies you guys do during the cold winter weather? I like building RC cars, yep, I know sounds immature, but really a lot of fun.

I buy a cheap, older (1978-1985) Honda CB bike and fix it in december - Jan. Then sell it in March.

You either have a huge bedroom, or you do a bunch of laps around in a small one. Sometimes you catch her?... you must have spent some time at the new bar.

RC cars would be fun, I used to have a big, unfinished N scale model railroad but I had to choose between the RR and reloading. I'm very pleased with the choice I made.

Read even more books than normal, reload, play outside in the cold, wish that spring would hurry the hell up and get here already.

Yeap, did a demo ride on them last year up at Rabbit ears and they're an absolute blast, If I had the cash I'd have a kit on my dirt bike but when you consider a new $9k bike (you definitely want EFI and a BIG motor) plus the $7K snowbike kit. They're just flat out expensive and for me at least can't completely replace my sled.

They even built a turbo kit for them now too.

The Axials are great rigs, I've had or currently have every single rig they've made since the very first ones. The new JK Jeeps are a blast if you are wanting a 1.9, and you cannot go wrong with a Wraith if you want a 2.2. I'd have to say the poison spyder wraith is about my favorite one out right now.

I have a wraith and it is a blast. I crawl with it so I put in a different motor (hh35t). Tons of aftermarket support for the wraith. Can upgrade as far as your wallet will let you. Stock out of the box is perfect for starting out and upgrade as you feel the need or your driving style dictates. It's currently my favorite to play with out of the numerous other rc cars and trucks I own.
Great support from the crew at The Crawlspace in Arvada. I can't walk into that place without spending money.

December is usually focused on Elk hunting. January on building (rebuilding) my personal guns for the next season, February loading ammo. March, I start shooting matches again.

I'll try to get some waterfowl and pheasant hunting in there sometime. I also usually have a few hundred pounds of hamburger to grind as well as sausage to make. I might tinker with the truck or the GTO if I get ahead of the game, but that is rare.

That is Awesome!!! Skijoring with a motorcycle

Yeah, that's pretty manly of a hobby. Kind of reminds me one summer many years ago, my best friend and I were sitting around, bored out of our minds. He says, "Hey, I got an idea" and runs off behind his dad's garage. He comes back with this old Kent Feeds sign and a long piece of rope. I said, "What the heck you gonna do with that?" So he proceeds to cut a small square hole near one end of the sign, ties the rope through it and attaches the other end to the rear of my 4-wheeler. He runs in the house, comes back out with a pair of winter cover-alls on. Now mind you, this is 85-90 degree weather in the dead summer of Iowa. He tells me to get on the four wheeler and pull him around the yard. We both had our turns on that sheet metal sign. It's truly a great wonder we didn't break any bones or kill ourselves. Country boys can survive...and damn did we have fun!
