View Full Version : another "possibly moving before my CCW permit is issued" question

I currently live in Douglas county. took my NRA pistol course. and am ready to apply for my CCW.

issue is that I'll most likely be moving in the next 3 months. The question is will I end up in Douglas county or not. If not, it'll probably be Elbert.

If I end up moving to Elbert county before my permit is issued, do I have to start over with an Elbert county app? or can I just wait until the Douglas county one is issued and then take it to Elbert County and say "I moved here and need a new one of these"?

Technically, your permit can be issued in a county where you reside, or in my case, a county where you own or lease real property for a business. If you reside in Dougsco, apply there. If you move before they issue, get your permit and immediately put in a change of address with Dougsco (you have 10 days, I believe).
