By the way- to anyone interested, I highly suggest the Trijicon HD sights with the yellow front. Best sights I've ever put on a pistol. Beyond that, anyone could install them at home. If you have trouble, I'll even put them on for you- for free! The big U notch rear combined with the highlighted front gives a superb sight picture, especially for aging eyes like mine.37439

I've used a couple different sets of the similar Ameriglo sights, but I'd like to try those HD's because that u notched rear looks nice. Too bad the HD's are a bit more expensive.

Thanks for posting! I've heard many good things about the HD sights, but haven't seen many good pics or heard 1st hand from anyone as to their effectiveness. I really like my TFO sights, but really wish I had a contrasting front sight. Hmmmmm, something else to save up for! [Coffee]
Also use TFOs but they now make a separate color front. I still love the TFOs because of the fiber optics

You don't have to pay retail. I got mine for $114 delivered on ebay. I'm ordering another pair for my 34 today. They also give you an extra 1/4" of sight radius since they sit all of the way back on the slide. Every little bit helps!

Personally I prefer the Ameriglo dot over dot system myself. I find it easier to stack 2 dots in the dark than to line up 3. But I do like that u-notch setup.

I've used those and liked them quite a bit.

I just bought these for my M&P40c, but with the orange front. I got mine for $82 from DSG on their Black Friday specials :D (which is actually the only reason I bought them right now)

The TFO's are on my G26 now, really nice sights, but I'm partial to the big orange dot against the black rear sight.
I recently put a set of Warren Tactical sights on my 17. Really like them so far. I find the three dot system too busy for my taste. I prefer the large green front dot on top of the smaller rear yellow one.

I think my favorite night sights for SD were the XS big dots. Really fast acquisition and easy to put on target. I think I got them on sale on Ebay for $85 shipped and a breeze to put on.

I don't like the XS sights -for me- because they are not precise enough. The Big Dot completely covers the target (7 ring and up) at any distance. I've had them, used them and they are fast.

That is true. They are definitely not target sights but SD sights only.
I missed out on DSGs sale, but got the orange HDs from opticsplanet for $116 and free shipping. Pretty stoked to put em on

No Meprolight love? I have used these in the past and loved them. The green front and orange rear make sight alignment much easier... for me anyway.

Definitely some Meprolight love, I've had the green/orange combo on a few different Glocks, and they worked quite well, but with the introduction of some of the new Hakathorne and HD sights, the big orange front just can't be beat.

Just took a little hiatus from the forum. A few of the guys beefed at me for going away- so I figgered I'd give it another shot.
