All I can say is OUCH, OUCH, OUCH, OUCH...

Looks like Hwy 128 outside of Moab.

So my guess is either a winddraft pushed him back and/or he didn't jump out far enough? I've never skydived before, but that's what it looks like to me. I'm also guessing that he was knocked unconscious out at some point or accepted that he was going to die? Because after hitting that rock and pushing off, he seemed to stop fighting it, hands were just floating along.

All I can say is, play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

At least he didn't have to walk far to get a change of underwear.

Did anyone else laugh at this video being set to the same Awolnation song as the wingsuit video?

play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

That very aptly sums up my take on it.

Go pro cameras have captured more incredible fails for youtube than spectacular sport feats.

And and for that I say with the full depth of emotion.... Thank You GoPro!

Definitely true! I don't care to watch the incredible feats, I only care to watch the Darwin Award candidates [LOL]

“Compression fracture of the T12 vertebra, five stitches to the eye, six stitched to the chin, severely sprained back, wrist and hand. Multiple bruised areas,” he wrote in the video’s description.

Guy is luck to be alive.

And that was indeed hwy 128 south of Moab.

At 0.17 I see the rock sticking out of the wall and sure enough he heads straight for it. I missed the wingsuit tie in but the volume is usually turned down too. Never considered B.A.S.E. jumping and this doesn't make me want to jump up and do it. http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/images/smilies/10_2_25.gif.pagespeed.ce.yc-cyQ6rrO.gif

Good news, the damage the rocks did to his vehicle can be covered by comprehensive as "falling objects." Also, he should submit the video in his claim to use his med pay coverage since he was "in, on, around, or entering/exiting" his vehicle. I think he could argue that he was trying to chute into his truck with how close he landed to it. haha.

I noticed that, too. That cliff face is pretty smooth, except for that big slab sticking out and he hit right on top of it. Figures.
