View Full Version : Bushnell 1-4 x 24mm Scope Rings
http://www.bushnell.com/all-products/rifle-scopes/ar-optics/1-4x-24mm
I picked one up for cheap and it didn't come with rings. And I'm looking to mount it to a flat top receiver. I just need some ideas.
So I measured the scope tube and its 1.5inch wide. And I'm not sure what kind of scope rings I should get for it?
Anyone ever used these scopes?
Thanks in advance.

You need 30mm rings, Depending on your budget, I'd recommend Burris PEPR mount for the lower $$ or Larue for the higher end. I have both and both are solid but I don't think I'd be comfortable with the Burris quick lever version for repeatability. If you want QD and repeatability go with Larue or Bobro.
I'll echo what XC said... Larue if you can afford it. If not get PEPR

AMD has always worked well for me.
Any Larue rings in particular or what? I was liking the PEPR but I didn't know if it would fit.

With that optic, assuming you're not planning on upgrading to a longer range setup where a 10 or 20 MOA mount would be needed, I'd go with the LT104.
If you're looking for a long range mount or one that gives you the option down the road, then the LT158 gives you 10 MOA if you want more the LT745 makes 20 MOA an option but for some reason the levers are on the right side. I have this mount on my LR AR and it works fine but I'd rather the levers be on the left like the 104 and 158.
Sky is the limit when it comes to the price of mounts. While this scope is MSRP at $150 I found it at a pawn shop for $40. The guy thought it was a Klein tool since it was in a Klein bag. Maybe, I can luck out and find what I need sometime like the Larue for less than a hundred. But the PEPR is going to be my first mount since I seen Bushnell mounting it in their videos.

It's a damn good option for the money, It's done everything I needed it to do on the rifle I have it on.
I have the same reservations on putting a $150 scope in a $200 mount, seems kinda backwards to me too.
Unless kwando gets sick of it and wants to sell it. I hope he gives me first dibs.

I found it at a pawn shop for $40.Great score!!!
Get a Larue, ADM or Bobro, then you'll be ready when upgrade to a S&B. All kidding aside they will all do you well.
The SWFA S.A.L.T is a re-branded P.E.P.R and should also be considered.

Scope mounts are lifetime tools... Highly doubly I will sell it, you can get extra spacers like I did that allows you to switch between 1" and 30mm

I just bought a used one a few days back. Picked up a set of 30mm rings at Sportsmans for $27 I believe. (Basic weaver rings) Mounting on top of my carry handle. If going on a flat top, you'll one 1 inch high rings probably?

Thoughts on this one?

I have the PEPR and Larue. The PEPR QD is repeatable enough to take the rifle down, ride to the Pueblo range on a motorcycle with the parts in a backpack, reassemble and hit the targets.
That is some Good Bourbon advice right there.
Since you got the scope for next to nothing, buy a good mount. I bought the larue LT104 per advice given in this forum and never looked back. If you end up putting more money into another scope, you'll still have a good mount. If not, you can sell the mount for close to what you paid for it.
I didn't really get to finish my thought last night. I was dead tired and kind of surprised that what I wrote made any sense at all. The PEPR is the mount that I settled on. It wasn't the money at all. I just dropped real money on the rest of the rifle because I had a goal on mind of what I wanted the gun to be. So money wasn't an issue at all. I'm not used to dropping that kind of money on mounts though. Kind of weird. However, it does seem worth it. Its a nice solid mount with all of its design meant for the AR platform. It holds the scope in there beautifully and even though I don't have a MBUIS there wouldn't be room for it anyway. :(
I think that it will give me exactly what I want with worry free use. I don't baby my guns even though I don't set out to drop them or abuse them it happens and I think it will stand up to it well. But I having shot it yet so it it falls apart after a few shots I will know if its really worth it or if its just for show.
I'm in the same boat, looking for a mount and I'm always looking for a deal, so, why no love for Primary Arms mounts? Just curious as this doesn't look bad to me, but I've never used one or even seen one in the flesh. Are they Chinese?

What's the word on them?
FYI: Before you buy the PEPR, check out SWFA and look at the SSALT, same mount and running $20.00 (I believe) or so less than the PEPR, with no Rail mount rings.
