The haters probably never had to deal with fire ants. Evil little buggers.

Interesting sculpture.

Spent some time down Waurika, Temple, Duncan area. Not sure if the ants trump the tics, or June bugs, hitting my windshield . While doing 80 on my H-D

I know of about ten big red ant hills. At $4200 a pop... [Wow2]

Hmmmm, I think that I got a new way of getting the anthills out of my back yard next summer. Cool idea.

Kill all the fire ants you want. Maybe they'll find it hostile here and will go back to South America.

I think we should be kind to fire ants since they are among the few remaining Americans who actually work for a living, and not one of them vote for progressives or democrats.

Fire ants are foreign invaders anyway. He's making something that looks cool AND getting rid of a pest at the same time. Good for him!

Saw enough big fire ant mounds at Ft Hood, no way I'd go 4200 for one. Cool art though.

I'm sure none of the PETA assholes have ever killed an ant in their house. They put them in a cup and place them softly outside.

For $4K each, I'd temporarily move into Fire Ant territory and make some quick cash. I bet a casting of an African termite nest would get a cool $100K on eBay.

How much for the aluminum you think? Would you need a dump truck full for a prairie dog hole?

Anyone else think it seemed like he didn't pour nearly that much into the hole?

Why? Thinking of trying it? I'd assume a lot more AL for the P Dog. There are some recyclers in town that sell scrap AL.

Yup. I wonder how often they protest nurseries/wal-mart/hardware stores that sell insecticide. Amazing sculpture, I'd keep one if it was a gift.
