Just had a new clutch installed in my 2001 Tacoma and I have to push it to the floor before it engages. They tell me that this is normal and I'm calling BS. It should engage about half way. I'm a crazy or are they full of it?

Typically, you push the pedal to disengage the clutch, not engage it. Just saying.

I'm not a Toyota guy, but I would assume it has a hydraulic slave cylinder? Sounds like maybe it needs to have the air bled out of it properly.

Yup sounds like it needs to be bled again.... when you push it to floor how much to you have to let up for it to engage again?

If they didn't replace your flywheel, that may cause some problems also. Some clutch assemblies require the flywheel get replaced also. Not sure about Toyota though.
