Oh no! I'm surprised! NOT!
It's the Huffington Post, what else would you expect from that "Pravda wannabe" rag?
I'm actually proud they're on the front.

I think "Renegade" is not such a bad moniker this day and age.
Um... What?
Sheriffs who refuse to enforce gun laws around the country are in the minority, though no statistics exist.

Now we're going to start hearing about the sheriff loophole.

Now we're going to start hearing about the sheriff loophole.
O2 That problem will solve itself, when the 90% who are in favor of common sense universal background checks and common sense banning of "high capacity clips" will just vote those boys out of office. [Sarcasm2]

Just wait & watch for challengers this fall. You said that in jest but I'm sure there will be challengers using that argument.

I feel soiled and sullied for clicking on a HuffPo link.
Um... What?
That's pretty much HuffPo journalism in a shellnut.

I do thoroughly enjoy all the folks talking about the repeal of the 2nd ...so myopic, so, so myopic.
I like fresh water and electricity, they apparently don't.

Ok, I have read many stories about our good Sheriffs and heard many of them say they won't enforce the new laws ... but then all they ever talk about is how difficult the mag ban is to enforce and thus they won't.
Are these same Sheriffs ignoring the universal BGC law too?

Given that it, too, is unenforceable, yes.

Christ, I feel dumber for having read that.
2 things I pulled from that hack journalism: "Why won't they just do what we tell them to?" and "Why does anyone need a gun; they are so evil!"
Notice that most of the commenters are from Illinois, Indiana, or the Northeast.

Bloomberg is bankrolling a challenger to Sheriff Smith in Larimer County. Cooke is term-limited and I think so is Maketa.
The only other two sheriffs whose reelections I know anything about, Dougie Darr doesn't have a serious challenger right now, and everyone likely to run against Fred Wegener in Park County is also righteously pro-gun.

Right? I was being a little introspective about those comments, and noticed something strange.
At least those few posers finally recognize the 2A actually protects the right of people!
