Man, I hope I can get there, it's on my calendar.
I wonder if they can keep the God and anti-gay rhetoric out of it this time..

I just hope that guy doesn't show up to sing again...
Sorry if he's on here, or someone knows him, but that was terrible and doesn't help our cause at all.

So the Broncos are more important than your gun rights?

Really? My gun rights are more important in the grand scheme than a lot of things. But there are a lot of things that might keep me from attending. FFS. Why don't you worry about getting yourself there instead of worrying about what someone else is doing?
ETA: I happen to be teaching a CCW class that day. I won't be there. But I'll reach at least 12 people on a personal basis regarding gun rights and gun safety by teaching the class. And one CCW class sure as hell isn't as important as my gun rights.

Hey Bailey nice to hear from ya. Still grouchy I see. Have a nice day!

I'm not grouchy. I'm just amazed you feel the need to rag on the guy for going to a ballgame...that may or may not happen. And if it doesn't happen he said he'd be there.
milwaukeeshaker
12-20-2013, 17:36
No rag, just a question. I'm always amazed at what folks find important. Why don't you just let him respond? Why did you feel it necessary to attack me for a post not directed at you?

I guess for the same reason you passively/aggressively attacked him for a post not directed at you. At least he said he'd be there if there was no game. I haven't seen you make a commitment to be there. Aren't your gun rights important to you?

Attacked? Where is the attack? I asked a question. Posts are directed at all of the forum participants, and I believe all the participants of this forum can respond, can't they? Passive/ aggressive? Wow, a free session, where did you learn that psychobabble? To answer your second statement. Yes they are, I will be there. I don't just talk the talk. Thanks for asking, again, have a nice day.

Attacked? Where is the attack? I asked a question. Yes, attacked. Granted it wasn't a personal attack or name calling or anything like that. It was passive/aggressive. Look it up. It's a phrase in common use by average people.
Posts are directed at all of the forum participants, and I believe all the participants of this forum can respond, can't they?
Oh. So then this post by you:
Why did you feel it necessary to attack me for a post not directed at you?
...actually means your original post, at which I took some offense and responded to, was actually directed at me as a forum participant. So there really wasn't a problem with me responding, was there? And I didn't really attack you any more than you attacked SamuraiCO. I was just more direct rather than passive/aggressive (there's that psychobabble again) like you were.
Passive/ aggressive? Wow, a free session, where did you learn that psychobabble?
See above...and a dictionary.
To answer your second statement. Yes they are, I will be there. I don't just talk the talk. Thanks for asking, again, have a nice day.
Well good for you. You're welcome. I will/am.

The difference between you and I is that I did NOT attack anyone. I just asked a question which prompted you to respond in your usual smartass manner. Do you feel the need to defend other folks? Are you the forum defender of the oppressed? But I digress. I did not disparage anyone, I just asked a question and you butted in as is your usual modus operandi. I myself have only resorted to sarcasm in response to you until this post. Take a chill pill officer. Thanks for the education, have a nice night.

Yeah. So that's not a smartass post. Got it.
I also get that, even by your own admission, forum posts are directed at all members and all members are free to respond, I guess that doesn't mean I get to respond to you. You're somehow exempt from criticism.
Duly noted.

You are certainly free to respond to my or any other posts, it just would be nice if once it was not in your usual smartass, condecending manner. That is my complaint. And no my question was not at all meant to be sarcastic or smartass, it's just a question directed at another poster. Why do you feel it necessary to respond with your usual sharp tongue? Again, lose the grouch-on, take a chill pill, and try to have a nice day.
Yeah. So that's not a smartass post. Got it.

Won't be many there, they will all be worshiping at the Broncos altar, after all you have to pick what is really important.
Worst day of the year to do this event. Will be lucky to get a thousand people there. Antis will use this to show the lack of support for any pro-firearm legislation. Reschedule or do more harm for the cause than good.
Maybe schedule something for the Saturday prior to election day. That way people will at least know who to vote for and who is and isn't on our side. Once the Dems are voted in, they will do what Bloomberg and Obama tell them to do.

Over 200 showed up, in spite of the Broncos game. All things considered, a pretty good turnout. This was a nationwide event with the date chosen months ago, so rescheduling wasn't an option. Thanks to all who came out.
And, not surprisingly, the only thing in DP today, is Manning,Broncos and MLK, with a light splash of Stock Show mixed in.
I'm guessing that if it been anti-gun, it would have been reported on, likely getting a mention (if not a sidebar) on page 1.
