An update from Sheriff Justin Smith confirms that Judge Krieger did cut the list down to 11 Sheriffs who provided proof in the earlier filings that they were going to be term-limited in the next year and would be subject to prosecution for their ownership of magazines exceeding 15 rounds.
Good stuff. All you need is one so I don't think the number really matters all that much. I really think this is our best chance at getting these laws overturned. Is this only for mag capacity or is the background check included here too?

I don't understand this part. Can anybody elaborate?
Just curious.

Sheriffs in their LEO capacity are not restricted to 15 rounds, so what do they have to complain about?

Once their term is up, then they are limited to 15. 11 of them are term limited thus 11 of them can proceed. The others will be LEOs still and have no grounds... According to the judge.

Basically, they're saying that any magazines they buy now will not be allowed after their term and they will be criminals.

Normally I agree with you and your comments.... But this is frustrating.
Maybe they should just give up? Fuck your rights and all that...
You don't need anything over 15 rounds, so what do you have to complain about?
Come on man...

Yeah, if those are bought after 07/01/2013.
I thought that the continuation of this case was supposed to be seen this month. Has it been postponed?
