View Full Version : Hickenlooper getting nervous?
Funny the way a politician will act when an election year is fast approaching.
I can't quote this exactly as I'm going off what I heard in a news story yesterday, but, basically, Hickenlooper said that, while he wouldn't want to see the recently passed gun legislation repealed, he wouldn't have a problem with tweaking those laws a bit.
He said as much on NPR. He said he won't repeal anything, but will see what changes will be offered up. He seemed way more interested in changing the mag limit bill than the Universal Background Check bill.
I would like to change the governor along with the recent gun laws. Too bad Hickenlooper doesn't support that.

He may be open to it if you vote for him.......oh wait.....never mind.

Might as well have said, "I'll play the middle ground to maximize votes for myself and then I'll do what I please once I get reelected."

I think he is just saying that to try and get the swing groups to vote him. Open to changes in the laws? What is this? Making vacation reservations?

Yep, he is trying to go back to the middle to sway votes.

His approval numbers are in the dumper right now. He would say anything at this point to win the hearts and minds of people that are on the edges of the issues.
I'm wondering if he (and the state) will jump into the lawsuits brought against Layfayette, Boulder and Ft Collins like he did with Longmont. I suspect that he won't because fracking pisses of a lot of his base.

...yet he signed them into law, knowing full well that they were poorly written and not a representation of the view of the Colorado populace.

Who cares what he says. His actions prove that he does not work for Colorado. The guy is a "yes man" for everything that is wrong with America.

Pretty obvious that his focus is more on his own career future than on the wants/needs of The People of Colorado. His every move appears to be carefully calculated for the maximum benefit to himself.
He is a piece of shit, but he also said:
"So things like universal background checks, I think they are going to make us safer, but in this specific case aren't going to make a difference at all. And that's the challenge," Hickenlooper said.

Is it November yet?
I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!
Personally, I'd really like to see Greg Brophy in his office come next year. I cannot even stand to hear Hick talk... much less the content of what his feeble words are saying.
