I was able to get online and found President Obama some great accommodations at the Best Western Hotel in Honolulu.

For just $90 a night, the first family could get free Wi-Fi, a continental breakfast, an in-room safe to store the nuclear launch codes plus a rollaway bed for Valerie Jarrett.

In comparison, British taxpayers spent just $57.8 million on the royal family.
All said and done we have paid out of pocket way too much for presidents, not only Obummer, and their lavish lives as "rulers of the free world".

We were doing some engineering design work on a house owned by a guy that also had a house in Martha's Vineyard. He told me that when Oblowme went to Martha's Vineyard last summer the secret service rented his house for $14,000 for 10 days to house some of the security detail and his house would not house everybody, so they rented other houses as well. Just one of many small expenses we don't think about.

Agreed, Bush used the family ranch and Clinton went to Martha's Vineyard and the Hamptons if i remember right. That is a far cry from flying half way around the world.

What really gets me is, everywhere Air Force One goes, Air Force Two goes also, with an identical loadout and no passengers. I agree $14,000 seemed to be a little less than I would have thought he could get but I have no idea how big the house is. It may be a cracker box with bunk beds. I think the guy was one of his disciples or followers and did not want to appear to be gouging the chosen one.

When I did landscaping a few years ago in Hawaii. Obama n crew came thru and since we were working close to the house they made us stop work on the property. Boss nearly lost his company with no income. It was a shitty time for sure.
