anybody build a Yugo M70 underfolder from a milled kit?

I just got a complete milled kit and now realized how much work I have ahead of me...[Bang]

more than if you stayed with a stamped receiver kit.

the stamped kit got sold once I got this kit...this one was complete with underfolding stock and the trigger guard and all the other parts.

Now I need to find a stamped kit and make a trade or sell this one and find a complete stamped kit.[Rant1]

You just need to be able to weld. The good part is you don't have to remove the barrel and then install it again.(I believe)

There is a build party in Severence coming up and someone there will most definetly be able to help you. There should be a lot of experienced builders there.

I will be attending hopefully and its 15 mins from my house.

Check out this site.

If you want to hitch a ride with me to the party that would be no problem also

Expect to pay quite a bit on top of the trading the kit if you want a stamped underfolder.

I think a virgin underfolder is going for around $500 and you half to drill the gas port, barrel/sightblock/gas block/front sight pin holes, the trigger gaurd and probable lots of other things. You also have to headspace the barrel properly before you drill the barrel pin hole.

People at the party would be able to help but it would probably be harder to do that one then make a bad-ass milled AK.

Is there a place that sells milled receivers? If you can buy a premade one it could be as easy as installing the parts!!

This is the only milled AK section I know of. Its not a full reciever so it requires cleaning up the demilled portions and welding to the new section.

I have also seen someone do a stamped build out of a milled AK.

They basically grind or mill the receiver sections down to make a trunnion and then slide them into a stamped reciever. Drill holes in the reciever and spot weld the milled "trunnions" into place.

Ohio Rapid Fire sells an M70 receiver. If you have an M64 the wiselite solution is about it.

If you think about the Ohio Rapid Fire, please, be sure to do plenty of research before deciding one way or another.
