View Full Version : What's an plan jane AR-15 going for now-a-days?
The title sells it all. But I was wondering what a Bushmaster XM-15 postban rifle is fetching now. When I bought mine it was $500 and it was perfect. And a fair deal if I do say so my self.
I am not selling it but wanted to start a discussion.
Fuck Obama for driving up the price simply by being elected!!
Are you talking about a new one right out of the box? About $900
Lowest I've seen for a used one was about $800

Yeah just off the shelf with no lights or optics...
I am just wondering?
Well, I got My Bushmaster M4gry about two months after the cosmetics ban was lifted, Think it was around $900 after taxes and BG check at SW... Couple of weeks ago I was in there and the same thing had a price of $1050 on it.. The same at GM was close to $1100..
The one I built for about $500,, looks to be about the same.. If you can get the parts in a reasonable amount of time...

bought a used Armalite A2, basic for $600 just before obama... whew.
Good question, i was just wondering what stuff was going for myself.
I have been putting all my time and money into other stuff recently and was curious if all the panic buying had died down.
Are PMAG's still near impossible to get and going for $40 a pop or has that all died down? Lowers were going for 200-400 a few months ago, has that come back down to earth?
I bought a CMMG middy just before the election for $715, i only wish i bought more and sold them in mid November ;)

Did you try to order any? [Coffee] Usually they have none in stock. They can sell them locally for 20-30% higher easy. In many gun shows, I saw them as much as double that.

Please post a link to a place that has them in stock for more than 30 minutes. I swear there are people who sit in front of a computer all day long just waiting for vendors to change their stock status.
Like the guy who AR15 who is selling 16 lower parts kits. It's not allowed to stomp on ads on any good forum, but that deserves -15 yards for unsportsmanslike conduct

If you are even the slightest mechanically inclined, you can build your AR for less than 900. My Double Star M4gery cost me $780 or so to build, and that was with a few add ons to the kit. That was in Jan.
Buy a stripped lower, then look at companies like J&T, Del-Ton, etc., and get your kit. I took my sweet time, and it took me around 45 minutes to put it together. Clean, oil, shoot, repeat.
