Hello,
I have been considering purchasing a 22 wmr rifle. Have been looking at a Ruger 77/22, Savage 93 BTVS, 93 BSEV, Marlin 25N, or cz-455. Do you any of you folks have any experience with any of these? Are there others to look at and consider?

Thanks,

I love my Ruger 77/22, stainless steel. Always been a P-Dog killer. Either of the others you list should be fine too.

I have the 93 BSEV. I like it. It's comfortable, accurate and looks pretty neat. If you're ever in the area (west of Colorado Springs), you are more than welcome to try it out. I would load a picture if I was smart enough....

I had a Savage in .17 HMR. The accutrigger is very nice.

The Zastava 22WMR caught my eye, but i'm a sucker for former com-bloc bolt actions.

I run a 77/22 that i did the 22lr - 22wmr conversion to. That unit suppressed is impressive.

Thanks for the links I will have to check them out. I do like the Rugers but heard the factory trigger isn't so great on the 77/22. What has your guys experience with them been?

Why 22 wmr? Why not 22 hornet...

I haven't seen much 22 Hornet for sale.
I have other handguns that shoot 22 wmr so I was looking for a long gun to compliment the handgun.

Try this, I shot one of these the other day. The action was great the trigger was smooth and adjusts, and the cheek piece is interchangeable.

CZ 455 all the way . Can have multiple caliber rimfires with the quick change barrel design . Trigger can be worked down to high oz's , and zero creep with a 16.00 kit . Just picked up a Lilja in 22lr for mine , going after consistant .2s and MOA at 100 in 22lr , and am going to pick up another Lilja in 17hmr in a few months . The Savage 93 I own is going to go up on the chopping block after owning the CZ .

This thread motivated me big time. I just ordered my CZ 455 in 17 hmr. Will be here in 5-7 days.

On the Hide or Rimfire Central there is now a group buy for Lilja barrels for the 455 . 50 bucks off retail . I would have been in for a Lilja in 17 hmr to match mine in 22 lr , but shot my load a couple weeks ago on a few bricks of RWS 50 and 100 for the CZ . Seems as tight groups need fine fodder , could only average high 3s and low 4s with the SK+ and FGGM I had on hand .

On another note , my 455 responded well to pillars , and a bed job . Your gonna like these CZs they multiply , have a 452 trainer on layaway now .
