Encroachment....Some parts of the population that think a conifer forest has an unlimited lifecycle and that it doesn't include fire....Logging bans that can't remove old growth and renew the forest without fire....

They did a pretty good job addressing the realities.

2012 and 2013 sucked. I hope 2014 is completely uneventful on the fire front.

This is a great film, it shows the real problems rather than what the relatively minor things people bicker over afterward. Unfortunately there is still a lot of our and surrounding counties that will be prone to wildfire next year (and throughout the state). This is the kind of stuff that people need to see, mitigation can help so much but people seem to only think about that after the fire has occurred.
