I think here is a better place for this than the gallery section. Enjoy!

PS: yep, I cant, more power to those who can live off the grid.
Just something about that that pulls me in. Wish I could live like that.

One day when my finances are in order ill have a place

Land with anything other than a little grass and rocks is really expensive. I found a 35 acre spot down south with some trees and water seasonally, for a nice price, but I like having a little bit of savings.
Maybe when Silver goes up to 50 dollars an ounce again.
In this state maybe. By that time ill be in wa. Being close to water is important especially when you have to haul it yourself

This state is going to hell in a handbasket. Would be nice to have something a couple hours away so I can utilize it on a weekend or so.
Its more of logistics for me. All my family is there. Spending all of my vacation on family visits and never actually having a vacation is getting old. Wa is about as messed up politically.

No joke. It makes sense to reset yourself before the situation forces it.

If you can stand the cold and wind.. there are 3 States north of us that have plenty of land.

I'll look into WY... you can always put more clothes on to combat cold, heat you can only take so much off.
Interesting galleries. Except for the first pics in the Carolina swamps the others look like they could be of folks I know up in Ward or Gold Hill, Paonia or Buford.
There's a big advantage to having a getaway place that's within reasonable distance from where you live and work. Do you really want a place in bumfuz wyoming that takes 9 hours to get there and 9 more to get back? How often will you be able to go there and work on/invest in it. There are lots of affordable places within reasonable distance along the Front Range.
Fixing a place where you can live off the grid is good but there's much to be said for having electricity, running water and gas heat. Makes for a much more efficient, comfortable life. Self sufficiency, you bet! Gardening, hunting, preparing and storing your own food, firewood and other provisions are life sustaining skills. But to willingly give up benefits of electricity when it's available and cheap? That's just....well, not for me.

True.. but have you seen the girls from up north!? They are almost Alaskan pretty!
montana has some dirt cheap land if you look around. idaho too. there are places in colorado and wyoming you just have to look close and they aren't going to be highly desirable, which isn't completely a bad thing since most of us want to be secluded and not have lots of neighbors. ive considered getting a decent place to camp on and build a small cabin out there. it doesn't have to be much really if you are just wanting to survive. to be comfortable is a different thing.

Casper was surprisingly full of good looking women. The problem is that they think they're made out of unobtanium.
I've only seen the first picture, but I'm already intrigued that the guy canoes to Tae Kwando practice.

This is sarcasm right?
