Anyone else doing it this year? I have never done the indoor league but I will give it a shot. I haven't shot the outdoor shoots in 2 years and this year I am gonna do the Nebraska and Colorado shoots.

Looked in to it. limitedgm, gave me some info regarding the indoor range. IIRC (key word) they don't award the same way outdoor GSSF does. PM LGM and get the info correctly.

I've always wanted to do this but don't know the first thing about it.

Its pretty dang easy, line up and shoot. The indoor one does it different then the outdoor and like Jim said the prizes aren't as good for the indoor one. The outdoor one is where you can win cash, knives and Glock. Both of them you only shoot to 25yds. Pretty quick and easy.
Go to gssfonline.com and check out the info, the 3 indoor matches are on Sundays the end of Feb/march/April I believe. The outdoor is in August.

Maybe I'll have to attend one of this as a spectator to get the feel of it.

If you can hit a steel target @ 25yds. You can do this. Especially if i was able to win a glock, some time back. Cowgirl up and go for it.

Take your favorite Glock with you when you do, as you'll see it's so simple you'll wish you had brought it if you didn't. Honestly, even I got the hang of it in about 30 seconds, and I'm the kind of guy who likes IDPA stages explained slooowly.
I went to 5 of the 6 matches last season up there, but I haven't made any this season; a 200+-mile round trip is quite a haul for maybe 50-60 seconds of shooting. If I was a member of Whistling Pines gun club here in the Springs, I might see if it would be possible to get one going at that venue. I think it would be a hit for the colder months, but I've been known to be wrong before.

We have everything needed to run GSSF matches at WPGC. We just dont have enough staff members that are competitive shooters to run the matches. I am already running two matches a month there. Too many matches, not enough time...
However, I will ask the owner today.

It sounds fun. I bought my first glock and it came with the GSSF pamphlet. Got the wife convinced so far to let me join!

Thanks, Hoser, I appreciate that; all one can do is ask.
Although I'm not sure how much help I'd be, I would definitely help with the match if they'd like.

I spoke with the owner last night and he is game for it. Maybe one match a month or every other month. I will start working the details. You will **not** need to be a Whistling Pines member to shoot these matches.
What??? Matches don't magically happen on their own????

That sounds great, Hoser! Thanks for asking. Please let me know if they could use any help.

Are these matches still happening? I can't find them listed on the GSSF site? Or I'm blind this morning.
