We'll see what his reaction is. Wouldn't surprise me if the restaurant manager put the sign up without Keith's knowledge.

Sign was put up by manager. The TK restaurants are Franchise eateries, like any other chain. The owner can decide what if any restrictions they want to place. It seems the Ins carrier suggested it (for ins purposes) go figure.

It’s worth noting that Keith’s involvement in his own chain — named after one of his biggest hits — varies by location.

“For others he strikes licensing agreements with large operators for a flat fee, a cut of revenues or both,”
While we understand and respect every person’s right to own and bear arms, we at Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar and Grill, with guidance from the State of Virginia and based on insurance regulations, have adopted a no weapons policy. It is our desire to provided a safe, enjoyable and entertaining experience for our patrons and staff.

This was posted on a couple other forums I frequent, and I was quite surprised at some of the assanine comments being made, basically wanting to tar and feather Toby Keith. Get real folks, the man's got zero decision making authority over that sort of thing.

If we apply the same logic that is used in the Walmart-vs-Target thread, Toby Keith, by virtue of the restaurant chain policy, is a raving elitist libtard.

His name is on the front, that says it all.

And apparently, like those posters, you just don't get how businesses work.

Yes, I do get how business works, kind of my point. This has been going around for a few days now and Toby has made no statement. If he has a say or not on franchise gun policies he could at least make a statement but the money means more to him.

I prefer Kenny Rogers Roasters. Only snobs go to Toby Keith's.

I would agree with you IF the complaints had been "the manager at the Target in XXXXXX is a jerk so I'm going to boycott all Targets". The logic in the other thread would in fact apply here if TK really was a raving elitist libtard but you're so defensive about Target that you miss the point.

Wow I didn't realize people get so butthurt when you tell them target charges more and I won't shop there. Maybe I need to get an industrial vacuum to get the sand out...

As to TK, he probably has no say, probably signed away any say, and is probably getting paid to not say.

He supported Perry, but also loved Clinton.

Personally, I wouldn't set foot in his restaurant when I had to walk by it every day on a trip to Vegas long before Obama years ago, on plenty of reasons other than guns and politics.

Or maybe he just has better things to do with his time.

If you read the reviews on the one here in Denver the service and food basically sucks. No word on if there is a no gun sign posted. Never been there myself so no first hand opinion.

Sorry sport, I think you have me confused with someone else as I consider Target rather down-market.

TK is conservitive in most of his views and has been on glen beck many times, he also worked in the oil fields as did his dad and both were union members. Union = obama

I don't care who owns what business, if they do not allow guns inside, I do not go there.

You see that a lot in Michigan too, outside of Detroit and Flint areas. A lot of people I knew growing up had conservative views socially and fiscally, but because they were 3rd generation UAW members they vote straight democrat on election day because the union bosses told them to.

not to derail this thread, but if you claim to be conservative, but vote "D" because the union thug said so, then you are not conservative. It's really just that simple.

I don't know what this guy's views are, and frankly couldn't care less what some hollywood finocchio's views are. If his name is on the sign or door, he owns the policy.

It was probably some raving metrosexual who is confused about his gender "store manager" that put that sign up.

You missed out. Good food, good atmosphere and good service. I've eaten at the very one you mentioned in Vegas on my way to or from SHOT show numerous times. No such sign. I also plan to eat there again as well as the one in Colorado until the day I see a sign prohibiting me from protecting myself from would-be evil doers. When that day happens, I'm out. Otherwise, I will continue to go for the aforementioned reasons.

I remember Keith saying once in an interview that he has a CCW. Would surprise me if it was his idea.

I think the food there pretty much sucks. Frankly I wouldn't go there just due to the fact their food is crap.
