Anyone have experience with this or similar products? I have a couple scopes that could use a bit more grip for turning the magnification ring.

Planning on getting something like this down the road for my new to me mtac. No real experience but seen them quite a bit a 3 gun.
I'm still running an aimpoint at this time.

That one looks like a good deal. Thanks for posting it!

I just used one Saturday at the CRC LR match! I put a ring from an old bike tube around the magnification ring to prevent any marring.
These are not made by Charlie or 3gunstuff. They are actually fishing rod "coasters" made by Breakaway. Some 3-gun guys found them and started using them as a real cheap alternative to proper CNC'd cat-tails at $10 a pop. They work pretty darn good, but are no where near the quality of something like Charlie Drissel's product.
You can order them direct from Breakaway, they are the "Universal NC1 Coaster"

I'd recommend the breakaway ones as well. Using one for the Burris MTAC on my 3gun upper.

I use the Vortex version on my 4-16 PST. I really like having the quick adjustability.
Since the topic was posted. I am the owner of 3Gun Stuff. Happy to help out any forum members with our products, I attend a lot of matches on the front range if anyone wants to see our products in action.
The 3gun stuff levers are the best out there. Solid as a rock and very low profile. The lever is nice and small so it wont snag on things. And the owner is a shooter...
I wonder why the zoom rings on so many scopes are such a bear to turn?
The MGM levers are pricey for me so I'll pick up a few of the universal fit pieces.
Thanks for posting this.

My scopes are not of High quality, but decent, yet they will not be on a list of custom made cat tails.
A couple of my older bushnells are very difficult to turn for some reason. They always have been.
I'm just needing some additional grip for some fingers that are getting tired.
Appreciate the feedback, I'll look into getting one of the items listed since there are good reviews.
Do these universal ones bite pretty well, or do they have a tendency to slip?
I've used the Coasters on a few back-up guns and they work okay. I have a Scopelever from 3GunStuff as well as some of the MGMs, really, there is not a lot of difference between the metal ones, so you are really deciding which one based on $ and or who you want to support.
MGM has a middle of the road option: http://www.mgmswitchview.com/switchview-levers/eagle-eye-speed-lever-universal-fit They are better than the Coasters for a few bucks more, not as good as the anodized aluminum ones though. For a main match 3Gun set-up, I am going to use a properly fit aluminum one. For a hunting rifle or a precision match rifle where speed is not a big deal, save some coin and go with a Universal type.
