View Full Version : Resolutions for 2014?
Some of you might find it hokey but I was just wondering if anyone had any new years resolutions?
Personally I would like to become more active in local politics. I've been here 2 years now and that's the longest I have been in one place for a while. Figure its time to get more involved.
I also want to get out and shoot(still haven't taken the rifle out).
Happy New year!
Make an entrance to 3gun. Maybe not be so fat.

Definitely not be so fat, shoot more, amp up the preps.
I've got specific criteria for each that I'm going to refine and then start putting a time table on them.

Shoot more and maybe enter a gun competition.

Fat? I just call it extra ammo! :)

Forgot one: get my ccw license!
More cardio. I'm too young to get old.

Mine too.
And I'm saving up for an ACOG for my AR10 and a P226 MK25. So maybe in a few months I can get one of those...
Get my NRA certs, Finish my Mosin project, get a Tavor, get in shape, stock up some ammo, train, train others, vote out the Dems, learn the Solidworks program.

Get my health in check. My endocrine system is wacked. Any good endocrinologists in town?

More exercise, less fat. shoot more archery with the boys and do a lot of muzzleloading with my ten year old. Have sex with the wife every day. Thats about it.
Keep on plugging away on my debt... Hopefully entertain the idea of purchasing a few trumpets or firearms that I desperately need (want) down the line.
Less fat. Run a marathon. Improve my financial situation.

No resolutions, just try to keep living an honorable life and take care of my family.

Loose another 20lbs, train and shoot more, save some more dough for the kids, not be an asshole, and start going to the gym

I resolve to lose weight, improve my cardio and flexibility, and work harder to keep anti-gun politicians out of office and remove the ones who are already in (although it's gonna be tough to top last year).
Any day is a good one for improving your life/behavior/etc.

I'm thinking about going 4K on my TV this year. That's what I call a New Year's "resolution" :)

I'll roll with ya on that one.

As for me, get into a 12minute mile, get elkzilla with my bow. Shoot as many geese as possible. Kill every last prairie poodle I can. Run over a coyote, then shoot it's pack member. Go pheasant hunting somewhere that has birds. Tolerate my wife for another year. A 5th wheel toy hauler is somewhere on the list....

Hike more, shoot more, work on my 300 AAC loads, see about getting the local club affiliated with CMP.

Drink more or find a new job
Start training again. Have gained a few pounds during the holiday's.
Expand my in town work so I don't have to be away from the family so much.
Lose weight, get in shape and find a better job. My resolutions have been a broken record for the last 3 years.
I'm pretty committed to living healthier this year. Going to cut out all the garbage I put into my body and try to eat mostly meat, fruit, and veggies.
Get hired, that's first and foremost, then shoot more this year, get into hunting, and if it's not completed I won't be too upset, but bag my first elk.

Shooting wise, I'd like to place a little better at GSSF this year. :)
Otherwise, maybe take a few minutes off from some races, maybe eat a little better. Same as everyone. [Coffee]

Pretty much sums it up for me as well.
I already kicked all my unhealthy traits so improving my quality time would be a plus.

I'm too old to use the weight, I use to need, to throw around.

I don't care who you are, that's funny as hell right there! [ROFL1]
I never have resolutions. Just year to year, strive to be a better person. Pretty simple.
That's a good way to go about it. [Beer]
