No outside lights for us. Brought in the decoration by the front door and the 3 wreaths from the outside. The inside can wait until this weekend.

I leave 'em up until March or so. Makes the neighbors much more appreciative when they finally come down.

You guys are making me look bad. I usually wait until the Homeowner's Association complains at least a little bit! [handbags]
Honestly, I'm afraid of heights and I always dread putting up and taking them down. Now that I think about it, I guess it's not necessarily "height" that I'm afraid of... it's FALLING from any significant height that has me worried.

Yes, I am. A bit ironic, I know. But when I'm flying an airplane, I'm not really at 38,000', I'm at ZERO feet with my fanny firmly planted in a cushy seat. Also... I'm not likely to fall out of what's basically an airtight tube.

House looks kind of depressing without all that stuff around.

Nah. But it does look a little less like winter time at my place with all the holiday stuff put away. Until you step outside. Then you remember it's not quite spring time yet.

Winner! I hate taking them down as much as putting them up, so I'm not in any hurry. And the tree - that friggin' 200lb. artificial monster is such a PITA that I'd rather throw a sheet over the fucker and leave it in the corner all year long. Wife usually leaves it up for at least a month, and turns the sumbitch on every night too.

A number of years ago my mom got nets of lights that she could put out without help from my dad. Usually he'd still put up the ones on the gutters et al, but he was so busy repairing US-34 that he wasn't able to do so, so my mom's lights were the only ones out there.
As for me, well, the Condo Ass'n doesn't normally allow things to be hung on our balconies. I think there's an exception for Christmas lights, but I was too lazy to put anything up anyway (except for some in my room, but I'm leaving those in as a way to have just a bit of light but not too much).
Took mine down today. Another successful year using duct tape to hang the icicle lights from the gutters....I really need to remember to buy plastic clips (in my defense I have looked for them twice and they have been sold out).
We don't put lights up, but we just took the tree down yesterday if that counts???
I'm hoping to get mine down this weekend. Damn snow might not allow it though. I'm ready for the Christmas stuff to go away.

Ugh, we still need to do that too.
Didn't do lights, didn't do a tree - it simplifies things.
