Anyone else getting pumped about the upcoming season? I'm counting down the days....Hope the weather works out this year. Last year was awesome. Got my buds all pumped this year too. Camp should be fun. Just got to remember to stop drinkin' earlier in the evening than I did last year. Morning comes early and I'm getting too old for hangovers. Taking out the dog for what could be his last outdoor activity. He's a malamute mix and 13 years old. He's had it rough the last year but he had so much fun last turkey season guarding our camp/beer while we were a huntin'. He's got to come with one last time. Good luck to all of you turkey chasers.

I got a buddy who WAS wanting to take me out that way. Wife won't let him go this year. Something about remodeling the kitchen. Birds before wifes anyday. He told me it was goooood hunting over there! Good luck to you.
Obviously you don't know about the Big Kitchen supply wharehouse over that way where you can pick stuff up,,

Hear you on the lack of talking! Went south to the Wet Mnts. south of Canon City and saw birds but the weather was foul and the birds were quite. Saw a few jakes nothing all to exciting. Still fun to go out though!
well no one has told the birds about coming in on a decoy and how they are supposed to act when you call..
Went out before light slightly foggy. as it started to get light more foggy to the point only had about 25 to 30 yards of vision.
did hear some clucking but never had any real action. A buddy got 1 near Buffalo Creek this past week.

Seen some rio's out where I go P-doggin out east of Hudson but I guess the property owners view them as some sort of pet or something. The Rancher said the Tom is aggresive and chases him around his truck sometimes. When I offered my services I was shut down. Oh well. I wonder if the mnt. birds are just all henned up and getting busy with the hens so have no need to seek out other "hens" or me.
