I have a rather large collection of die cast cars and memorabilia, some lower end stuff by Racing Champions, but mostly Action pieces and some of them are signed. Decent amount of Earnhardt Sr. stuff.
Looking to sell the whole lot of it, don't know who to contact for appraisal or a full buy.
Anyone have any suggestions for who does that type of stuff? I don't think standard auction houses know much about nascar collectables, or collections this size.
Thanks

I have been trying to cull my sports car die casts through ebay. Sold a 2002 Craig Lowndes Ford Falcon for a decent price. Not sure about selling the entire collection though.

Yeah, I really don't have the time or ambition to part all this stuff out on Egay one at a time. I just don't want to deal with all the listings and fees and shipping and all that goes with it.
Someone out there does this kind of stuff, just have to find out who.
YO OBC!!!
Sorry to hear about your current situation. Ironically, I got hit with the same thing last night.
I'll put you in touch with my cousin, about the collection. He knows about that stuff. I'll pm you later today.
Peace brother.

I would love to have owned something signed by Dale Sr., but never had the money while he was alive. Now I'm sure the prices are much higher. I still miss watching him drive.
Good luck in finding someone that's a dealer in sports memorabilia and I hope you get a fair deal!

Sounds good Crays, thanks...and I'm sorry to hear about your new news as well...... and thanks Gman.
There's some really cool Sr. stuff in the collection, but nothing signed by him. I miss the man too.
If you can get the signatures verified with a COA they are worth a hell of a lot more.
ive always wanted a Mickey mantle signed baseball but still can't justify the money

When the nascar truck series first came up to CNS, I presented a 24th scale diecast truck to Ron Hornaday...he quickly asked if he could run it back to the team to show it off, I said Sure,...and he brought it back and signed it.
I also have a few cars signed by Bill Elliot, met him at an appearance over at that guys place in Arvada, the McClaren museum guy, forget his name.

Anyways, really looking for someone to appraise this collection, and move it for me.
It might be obvious from my name, I've collected Dale Sr. since 1986, wish I had room for more stuff. I might be interested if you have something interesting, signed would be good. I only collect Sr. stuff, the wife has some Jr. but I'm not going there. Let me know what you have that you like and think is cool. But mostly I'm ready to sell some of mine it's just hard to stop buying.
Was Sr. A guy that signed anything for anyone? If so your stuff is likely not worth much more than the item itself. Prepare to be disappointed by the appraiser. Do a couple searches on ebay for completed auctions to get an idea of what "might" be possible.
sent from a soup can and some string..
Go to vegas and take it to the Pawn Stars guys.
Nascar collectables took a nose dive a few years ago. I also have a large collection, most Dale Sr. Some of the original Dale Sr. diecasts that hit their peak values around $1k are now in the $2-300 range. The market was flooded with cheaper replicas and the value of originals never held up.
