Got a note from Larue this week that they're ready to build my 7.62 PredatOBR. Just curious who else has one or has hands on one. It's hard to separate the fanboy reviews from the rest sometimes, and while Larue has always done well by me before, the mess with the barrel situation has been interesting to say the least with this rifle. Looking forward to getting my hands on it either way, just thought I'd reach out to see who else has one local at this point, and if you've had any initial thoughts.

Um whoever moved my post... 7.62x51 is not the same as 7.62x39...
I get GD was probably not the best choice, but maybe AR10 would have been a better match to move it to.

Hit up the belly, think he has one.

I could be wrong, may be AR. Am too lazy to search.

Guess it didn't take long to build - got a ship notice already. Nice.

Yeah I think he has the predatar, not obr.

I'd love to hear your report after you get it.

How long was your wait? I put my order for a PreditAR last Jan still waiting.

He has a 16" PredatAR in 7.62. It's pretty sweet. Figuring out the particulars of how MY gun needs to be ran was interesting, to put it mildly.

Arrives tomorrow... :)
I think I put in my order late Dec or early Jan. Seems like it's more related to the barrel and config you've ordered at this point. Mine's a 14.5"

after looking at the design and talking to some engineer friends, I now understand why my gun acts the way it does and why I need to shoot it one specific way in order to make sure that I get maximum accuracy out of it.

Aaaah, I think it was your thread I remember reading over on the other site... ;)

Will be interesting to get my hands on this tOBR today to see if it lives up to the hype (both positive and negative).

are you getting a field grade barrel or a match grade?
