Long time anti gunner, Democrat Rep C. McCarthy from New York isn't running again, and will retire this year.

Seems like EVERY time I saw McCarthy on some news clip, she had an extremely sour look on her face. Adios McCarthy and don't let the exit door hit you on the rear end. Now don't anyone say that she had look because of her cancer - I have had that diagnosis three (3) times over the last 30+ years and I doubt anyone EVER saw me with a look like that.[blaster]

I won't miss her but in all honesty, I'd rather have seen Chuck Schumer or Dianne Feinstein announce their resignation. McCarthy was only ever effective at getting on the news but the other two have screwed us so many times I feel like an abused blow-up doll ...

Sorry...but there's a part of me that can't feel too sorry for someone who, in my opinion, has devoted many years to ruining the traditions and values of a country I hold very dear in my heart. I'm trying to work up a sympathetic tear but it just ain't comin'.
