when I try to write in a post the enter/return key will not work--so I cannot have paragraphs in a post or cannot separate text from a link, etc. this is the only place this is happening. thanks

What browser and OS? Have you tried clearing your cache?

IE 10/Windows 7. I have cleared the cache, but I'll try again.

Eww... Internet explorer.

I'll have to grab IE 10 and test, still on 9 in my Windows VM.

Same thing with me. Not a real problem cause I rarely have anything important enough to say that takes more than one sentence.[Beer]

I too had the same issue recently, went to my general settings/misc. options/message editor interface and selected "standard editor", been fine since.

You can also try selecting the compatibility view setting in IE. I had the issue before and that cleared it up for me...

I can't even read this garbage. Break this up into paragraphs, then when I can read it I'll see if I can help you.

The compatibility mode fixed it. but then the quoted text box overlaps new text in a message

If you have your mouse arrow over the text of a message and use the scroll wheel it will roll the text underneath the quoted text box. You have to either make sure you scroll with your arrow to the side of the page, or put your arrow back on the box and roll it back down (or you can slide the scroll bar to the right of the text)... I know it is a PITA but that's what I have found so far with IE that doesn't involve rolling it back...
